Eugen Apjok (born 15 April 1972) is a former Romanian rugby union player and a current coach being at the healm of Baia Mare. [1] He played as a fly-half. In 2016 he was voted the best rugby head coach in Romania. [2] In December 2022 he was appointed manager of the Romania national rugby union team, in preparation for the 2023 Rugby World Cup. [3]

Apjok gathered 3 caps for Romania, from his debut in 1996 to his last game in 2001. He scored 1 try and 6 conversions during his international career, 17 points on aggregate. He was a member as an assistant coach of his national side for the 8th Rugby World Cup in 2015. [4]

Daniel Eugen Rednic is a Romanian retired football player. He made his Liga I debut on 20 August 1994 while playing for Maramureș Baia Mare in a 1–1 against Sportul Studențesc București and played for various Romanian clubs such as: Maramureș Baia Mare, Oțelul Galați, Dinamo București, Argeş Piteşti, FC U Craiova or Politehnica Iaşi. Rednic also played in Hungary for MTK Budapest, with which he won a national title and the Super Cup. After he ended his playing career in 2010, Rednic moved to the United States, settling in Concord, California where he coached at a youth football club.

SCM Rugby Timișoara is a professional Romanian rugby union club from Timișoara, which plays in the Liga Națională de Rugby, the first division of Romanian rugby. The team first won the championship in 1972, becoming the first club outside Bucharest to achieve this performance. In the modern format of the SuperLiga, SCM Rugby Timișoara won 4 titles in 6 seasons. The team is colloquially known as "Universitatea" Timișoara as it has historical ties with the University of Timișoara. In 2014 the club became a partner of London-based Saracens rugby club. CSM Baia Mare is recently one of the main players providers for the Romanian national team and its youth academy is one of the best in Romania.
