Eumeria is a multi-national progressive metal band, formed in 2009 by American keyboardist Bobby Williamson, and British musicians Jonny Tatum (vocals) and Reece Fullwood (guitars). The band name is rumored to be derived from a cross between the words "Europe" and "America".
Eumeria began as a solo project by Bobby Williamson (Outworld and Thought Chamber), who had planned to hire various singers and musicians to create an album. After Williamson heard the initial demo tracks laid down by Jonny Tatum (Timefall) and Reece Fullwood however, he realized that something more important was about to be born. Williamson, along with Tatum and Fullwood, agreed to scratch the project idea and move forward as a fully operational band with dedicated members. Shawn Kascak, former Outworld bandmate of Williamson's, was selected to play bass guitar, while Adam Sagan, formerly of Into Eternity, was picked to be the drummer.
The recordings for the debut album began at Origin Sound studio in Texas; but Williamson, Tatum and Fullwood felt that Sagan's drumming style was not a perfect match for the material. The decision was made to find the right drummer for the band and replace the drum tracks. Kevin Bartlett (Anubis), a local friend of Fullwood's, was selected for the position. In 2010 Bartlett began recording new drum tracks at The Smash Room studio in Telford, England. Around this time Kascak injured his right hand and was only able to record bass guitar on two tracks. Eumeria subsequently hired Derek Blakley (Haji's Kitchen) and Michael Millsap (Six Minute Century) to step in and assist with the bass guitar duties until Kascak's hand healed.
2011 saw the unveiling of Eumeria's debut album Rebel Mind (mixed and mastered by Jacob Hansen). Although the band had several record deal offers, they chose to take a more independent approach to market and distribute their music via the latest digital technologies available on the internet. The physical album (CD) was distributed by their own record label, Rebel Tide Entertainment, which included licensing deals through Century Media for the USA and Code 7/Plastic Head for the UK and Europe.
In December 2013 Eumeria was invited by former Dream Theater drummer, Mike Portnoy, to perform at the Progressive Nation at Sea Festival in February 2014. Other acts on the bill included Pain of Salvation, Periphery, Haken, Animals as Leaders, Transatlantic, King's X, Devin Townsend Project, Jon Anderson (of Yes), Tony Harnell and Bumblefoot, amongst others.
On February 24, 2014, Eumeria made the announcement that Derek Blakley (Haji's Kitchen and Thought Chamber) had become the new bass player in the band, replacing Shawn Kascak.
In July 2014 American Keyboardist Matt Guillory (James LaBrie, MullMuzzler, Dali's Dilemma) joined the band, replacing Bobby Williamson (who decided to step down for health reasons).
Though progress has been slow, Eumeria are currently in pre-production for their second album, which is due for release in 2020. Two new demos, Open Ground and 7 Hours To Nowhere, were released on their official YouTube channel in March 2016 and February 2018 respectively.
Eumeria has been described as a progressive metal band, which fits with some of their self-proclaimed influences in writing such as Dream Theater, Opeth, Megadeth, Pantera and Queen.
Iron Butterfly is an American rock band formed in San Diego, California, in 1966. They are best known for the 1968 hit "In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida", providing a dramatic sound that led the way towards the development of hard rock and heavy metal music. Although their heyday was the late 1960s, the band has been reincarnated with various members with varying levels of success with no new recordings since 1975. Their second album, In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida (1968), remains a best-seller, and Iron Butterfly was the first group to receive an In-House platinum album award from Atlantic Records. Their music has found a significant impact on the international rock scenes, influencing numerous acts such as Black Sabbath, AC/DC, Rush, Alice Cooper, Mountain, Uriah Heep, Soundgarden, Stone Temple Pilots, Slayer, King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard, and Queens of the Stone Age.

Shawn Lane was an American musician who released two studio albums and collaborated with a variety of musicians including Ringo Starr, Kris Kristofferson, Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings, Reggie Young, Joe Walsh, Jonas Hellborg, Anders Johansson, Jens Johansson and many others. After studying the piano, he learned to play the guitar, which he played with exceptional speed.
Derek Sherinian is an American keyboardist of Armenian descent who has toured and recorded for Alice Cooper, Billy Idol, and Joe Bonamassa, among others. He was also a member of Dream Theater from 1994 to 1999, is the founder of Planet X and also one of the founding members of Black Country Communion, Sons of Apollo, and Whom Gods Destroy. He has released nine solo albums that have featured a variety of prominent guest musicians, including guitarists Slash, Yngwie Malmsteen, Allan Holdsworth, Steve Lukather, Joe Bonamassa, Michael Schenker, Steve Vai and Al Di Meola, and extensively drummer Simon Phillips.
Rough and Ready is the third studio album by the Jeff Beck Group and the first of two by the second Jeff Beck Group. Released in 1971 by Epic Records, it featured more of a jazz, soul and R&B edge to counter Beck's lead guitar. As a songwriter, Beck contributed more pieces to Rough and Ready than he had before, or ever would again. Beck enlisted Bobby Tench as vocalist and it is also the first time keyboardist Max Middleton is heard. Other members of this line up are drummer Cozy Powell and bassist Clive Chaman.

Angular Perceptions is the debut album by the American progressive metal supergroup Thought Chamber. The album received high praise from Sea of Tranquility webzine. Reviewer Murat Batmaz voted it the best debut album of 2007, comparing Ted Leonard's vocal style to Kansas and describing the music as " whimsical, with plenty of slap bass a la King's X, and [...]intense groove-inflected riffage and vintage '70s prog, throwing in eastern scales and eerie minor chord progressions."
Wild Nothing is the indie rock project of American multi-instrumentalist Jack Tatum, formed in 2009 in Blacksburg, Virginia. In the recording studio, Tatum writes, records and performs the project's music. As a touring act, Wild Nothing performs as a full band, featuring longtime bass guitarist Jeff Haley, guitarist Christoph Hochheim, drummer Victor Donahue and keyboardist Lou Rebecca.
Static Impulse is the second solo album and fourth solo project by Dream Theater lead singer James LaBrie, released on September 28, 2010. In late August 2010, LaBrie released two songs from the album titled "One More Time" and "I Need You".
Tides of Man is an American progressive rock band formed in Tampa, Florida in 2008. The now-instrumental band currently consists of members Spencer Gill, Josh Gould (drums), Alan Jaye, and Daniel Miller (guitar). The band's former lead vocalist Tilian Pearson and rhythm guitarist Adam Sene departed from the group in 2010. The band signed with Rise Records and released the studio albums Empire Theory (2009) and Dreamhouse (2010), and independently went on to release their third album Young and Courageous in 2014 and their fourth album Every Nothing in 2018.

"Islands" is the title and closing track of the album of the same name by the progressive rock band, King Crimson, released in 1971. The song's pastoral, mellow, and quiet feeling distinguish it from the album's first four tracks. The song was played live only a few times in 1971, with Collins using a regular concert flute, and Fripp playing guitar in place of Marc Charig's cornet.
