Group A of the EuroBasket Women 2019 took place between 27 and 30 June 2019. The group consistd of Czech Republic, France, Montenegro and Sweden and played all games at Riga, Latvia. [1] [2]
The Czech Republic women's national basketball team’s biggest success so far is the gold medal at the EuroBasket 2005. Czech Republic are one of the newest national basketball teams in the world, having split from the Czechoslovakia women's national basketball team after the dissolution of the unified state in 1993, with the Slovakia women's national basketball team continuing as the successor of the Czechoslovak team.
The France women's national basketball team is administrated by the Fédération Française de Basket-Ball . The team's nickname Les Braqueuses originated from their unexpected triumph in the 2009 Eurobasket. France is the leading nation in terms of EuroBasket Women qualifications.
The Montenegro women's national basketball team represents Montenegro in international women's basketball tournaments. The supervising body is the Basketball Federation of Montenegro.
The Montenegrin women's national team entered international competition in 2008, playing their first official match on August 27, against Republic of Ireland in Bijelo Polje (68-56).
The Montenegrin women's team participated at the EuroBasket Women four times - 2011, 2013, 2015, and 2017 reaching the quarterfinals twice.

The Bosnia and Herzegovina national basketball team represents Bosnia and Herzegovina in international basketball games and competitions. It is organized by the Basketball Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The 2017 FIBA Women's AfroBasket was the 23rd AfroBasket Women, played under the rules of FIBA, the world governing body for basketball, and FIBA Africa. The tournament was hosted by Mali from 18 to 27 August, with games played at Bamako. The winners and runners-up qualified for the 2018 FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup.
