Eve Mahlab AO is a prominent Australian business and social entrepreneur.
She studied law at Melbourne University and in 1968, started a home-based business, Mahlab and Associates, which focused on the recruitment of lawyers. This eventually grew into the nationally known Mahlab Group of Companies operating in legal recruitment, legal costing and publishing.
After retiring from active business management, Eve accepted several non-executive board appointments including the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute of Medical Research and Film Australia Inc. She was the first woman elected to the board of Westpac.
As a community activist, she is an articulate advocate for the advancement of women. She was an early member of the Women's Electoral Lobby and was the first woman elected to the Council of Monash University. She co-founded the annual large scale Sydney community event "Carols in the Domain" as well as the "Know Biz" Business Education Project which enabled thousands of students and teachers to visit large and small businesses.
In 1982, she was named Australian Businesswoman of the Year. In 1988, she was awarded the Order of Australia (AO) for services to government, business and the community, especially women. In 1997, she accepted an Honorary Doctorate of Laws from Monash University.
She is the co-founder and ex-chairwoman of the Australian Women Donors Network. Its purpose is to integrate gender considerations into public and private funding and to promote funding of projects which specifically target women and girls or are transparently inclusive of them.

Richard Kenneth Robert Alston is an Australian businessman, former politician and former barrister. He served as a Senator for Victoria from 1986 to 2004, representing the Liberal Party. During the Howard Government he held ministerial office as Minister for Communications and the Arts (1996–1997), Communications, the Information Economy and the Arts (1997–1998), and Communications, Information Technology and the Arts (1998–2003). He later served as High Commissioner to the United Kingdom (2005–2008) and Federal President of the Liberal Party (2014–2017).
Susan Maree Ryan was an Australian politician and public servant. She was a member of the Australian Labor Party (ALP) and held ministerial office in the Hawke Government as Minister Assisting the Prime Minister for the Status of Women (1983–1988), Minister for Education and Youth Affairs (1983–1984), Minister for Education (1984–1987) and Special Minister of State (1987–1988). She was the first woman from the ALP to serve in cabinet and was notably involved in the creation of the Sex Discrimination Act 1984 and the Affirmative Action Act 1986. Ryan served as a senator for the Australian Capital Territory from 1975 to 1987. After leaving politics she served as the Age Discrimination Commissioner from 2011 to 2016, within the Australian Human Rights Commission.

He is the first totally blind person to be appointed to a full professorship in any subject at any university in Australia or New Zealand, as well as the first to become a Dean of Law in these countries. He chaired the United Nations Committee on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities in Geneva.
