Collier County is a county in the U.S. state of Florida. As of the 2010 census, the population was 321,520. Its county seat is East Naples, where the county offices were moved from Everglades City in 1962.

It is part of the Naples–Marco Island Metropolitan Statistical Area. The Gulf Coast Visitor Center for Everglades National Park is in Everglades City.
San Marcos de Apalache Historic State Park is a Florida State Park in Wakulla County, Florida organized around the historic site of a Spanish colonial fort, which was used by succeeding nations that controlled the area. The Spanish first built wooden buildings and a stockade in the late 17th and early 18th centuries here, which were destroyed by a hurricane.
The Old Citrus County Courthouse is a historic site in Inverness, Florida located at 1 Courthouse Square. On April 17, 1992 it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places. The building was designed by J. R. MacEachron and Willis R. Biggers.
The Clay County Historic Courthouse is a historic county courthouse in Green Cove Springs, Florida. The two-story brick building was built in 1889 and used until 1973. A historical marker commemorates its history. It is located at 915 Walnut Street as part of the county's Historic Triangle which includes the Clay County History Museum, Railroad Depot Display, Old County Jail and Archives Center. On June 20, 1975, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places. It was designed by Ellis and McClure. This historic location is home to Clay County Teen Court programs and is a venue for events such as mock trials, plays, swearing-in ceremonies, photo shoots and tours. The modern, fully operational Clay County Courthouse is a separate facility located at 825 North Orange Avenue in Green Cove Springs. Employees of the Clay County Clerk's Office oversee the operations of both locations' offices.

Platt Island is an archaeological site off Florida State Road 29 in Collier County north of Miles City. It was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places in 1978. Ceramic fragments dated to about 2500 years old were found at the site, which is in the Big Cypress National Preserve.

Pigeon Key is a small island containing the historic district of Pigeon Key, Florida. The 5-acre (2.0-hectare) island is home to 8 buildings on the National Register of Historic Places, some of which remain from its earliest incarnation as a work camp for the Florida East Coast Railway. Today these buildings serve a variety of purposes, ranging from housing for educational groups to administrative offices for the non-profit Pigeon Key Foundation. The former Assistant Bridge Tender's House has been converted into a small museum featuring artifacts and images from Pigeon Key's colorful past. It is located off the old Seven Mile Bridge, at approximately mile marker 45, west of Knight's Key, and just east of Moser Channel, which is the deepest section of the 7-mile (11 km) span.
The Old Collier County Courthouse is a historic two-story concrete and stucco courthouse building located in Everglades City, Florida. Designed in the Classical Revival style, it was built in 1926 by Barron Collier, who developed Collier County and for whom the county was named. In 1962, the county seat was moved to East Naples and a new courthouse complex was built there. The building later served as the Everglades City Hall.
