FC Barsa Sumy is a youth football center and a former professional football club from Sumy, Ukraine.

History

It was created in 2012 based on the Specialized Sports School of Olympic Reserve.

After participating in the 2013 Ukrainian Football Amateur League competition the administration decided to enter the professional leagues for the 201516 season. Finishing in 12th position in the 2015–16 the club's administration decided to withdraw from the PFL. [1]

The list of teams was approved by Central Committee of the Professional Football League of Ukraine on 20 June 2013. Final decision was adapted by the PFL Conference on 26 June 2013. The competition began on 14 July 2013 and had a break winter from 30 November 2013. The competition resumed on 29 March 2014.

The 2014–15 Ukrainian First League was the 24th since its establishment. The competition commenced on 26 July 2014 with seven matches. Due to sponsorship reasons the league is called Favbet League 1. The competition was on winter recess from 17 November until 20 March when the competition resumed with the Round 18 match between FC Ternopil and MFC Mykolaiv.
