In Greco-Roman geography, Iberia was an exonym for the Georgian kingdom of Kartli, known after its core province, which during Classical Antiquity and the Early Middle Ages was a significant monarchy in the Caucasus, either as an independent state or as a dependent of larger empires, notably the Sassanid and Roman empires. Jvari Monastery

Jvari Monastery is a sixth-century Georgian Orthodox monastery near Mtskheta, eastern Georgia. Along with other historic structures of Mtskheta, it is listed as a World Heritage site by UNESCO. Jvari is a rare case of the Early Medieval Georgian church that survived to the present day almost unchanged. The church became the founder of its type, the Jvari type of church architecture, prevalent in Georgia and Armenia. Built atop of Jvari Mount, the monastery is an example of harmonious connection with the natural environment, characteristic to Georgian architecture.

Armazi

Armazi is a locale in Georgia, 4 km southwest of Mtskheta and 22 km northwest of Tbilisi. Erovnuli Liga playoffs is the annual knockout stage to determine the seat of Erovnuli Liga between the football team from Umaglesi Liga and Erovnuli Liga 2. Mtskheta is a district of Georgia, in the region of Mtskheta-Mtianeti. Its main town is Mtskheta.

The 2010–11 Umaglesi Liga was the 22nd season of top-tier football in Georgia. It began on 14 August 2010 and ended on 22 May 2011. Olimpi Rustavi are the defending champions, having won their second Georgian championship last season. FC Zestafoni claimed their first title.

Mtskheta Park is a multi-use stadium in Mtskheta, Georgia. It is used mostly for football matches and is the home stadium of FC WIT Georgia. The stadium is able to hold 2,000 people.

The 2011–12 Umaglesi Liga was the 23rd season of top-tier football in Georgia. It began on 6 August 2011 and ended on 21 May 2012. The league added two teams for this season, increasing its size from ten to twelve teams.

The 2012–13 Umaglesi Liga was the 24th season of top-tier football in Georgia. The season began on 10 August 2012 and ended on 19 May 2013.

The 2018 Erovnuli Liga was the 30th season of top-tier football in Georgia. Torpedo Kutaisi were the defending champions. The season began on 2 March 2018 and was ended on 8 December 2018.

Telovani church of the Holy Cross

The Telovani church of the Holy Cross is an 8th–9th-century Georgian Orthodox church in the Mtskheta Municipality in Georgia's eastern region of Mtskheta-Mtianeti. It is a domed triconch design, with the pastophoria on both sides of the sanctuary. The interior contains now heavily damaged murals, including one of the earliest Georgian depictions of the Mandylion. The church is inscribed on the list of Georgia's Immovable Cultural Monuments of National Significance.

FC Mtskheta was a Georgian association football club based in Mtskheta. The club was played at Armazi Stadium, today's Mtskheta-Park. In the 2001–02 season the club was played in the Regionul Liga, where he took first place. In 2002–03 they were played in Pirveli Liga, where are took the third place and in the play-off match against Gorda Rustavi after a 1:0 won they won a trip to the Umaglesi Liga, but in the following season, the club's relegated after a losing the play-off match in which Gorda Rustavi took a revenge of the last year's loss, after Mtskheta took the 9th place in the league. In the Georgian Cup the club was played 6 matches in the tournament: 2 wins, 1 draw, 3 losses.
