The FFTG Awards Film Fest is an annual international digital film festival organized by Dot & Feather Entertainment. The event spans over two weeks in end of November and includes competitive categories like 'Film of the fest', 'FFTG Spirit award', 'People Choice award', 'Female filmmaker', 'Student filmmaker', 'Screenplay writer' as the top winners of the fest. The festival gives The Grand Jury Choice Awards in various categories including feature films, documentaries, screenplay, shorts. [1]
FFTG Awards aims to present widest choice of content from around the world by providing storytellers a platform to showcase their creativity, connect with its audience, and establish their brand. The festival draws entries from around the world. [2]
FFTG stands for Film Festivals To Go, a marketing and consulting company for independent filmmakers. [3] Conceived and designed by filmmaker Rohit Gupta the fest was officially launched on August 16, 2020, by Dot & Feather Entertainment. FFTG Awards Film Fest is a digital event primarily intended to provide a platform of encouragement and exposure for storytellers. [4]
The first edition took place on November 23-December 13, 2020. Of the 400 submissions received in 72 days from 48 countries, 129 projects made it to the Official Program 2020 and 51 projects nominated. Over 100 awards were announced including the coveted, Film of the Fest, People Choice, FFTG Spirit and Screenplay awards. [5] [6] [7] [8] [9]
We, the Chosen One's is an invitation-only program based on the philosophy all is destined. The FFTG Awards team hand picks storytellers from preceding year submissions to invite them to join Official Selection Committee 2021. [10] [11]

The FFTG Award panel comprises filmmakers, storytellers, artists, professionals, students, technicians from diverse experiences based in various time zones from around the world. [13] Each member of the Official Selection Committee is chosen from a wide range of personal and professional experiences and achievements.

All films from the Official Program qualify for the Film of the Fest, People Choice award through public vote. No committee has any say in the selection. The FFTG Spirit Award represents a theme. The theme for 2020 was "story that moved me" and the winner is dependent on the majority votes from the participating filmmakers, writers that make up the Official Program. [16]

The 2023 FFTG Awards Film Festival, a combined event for 2022 and 2023, was held online from November 25 to December 10. This two-week festival featured various contests and awards, including the Audience Choice, FFTG Spirit, and Film of the Fest awards, along with multiple Grand Jury Choice Awards. The 'Audience Choice Film of the Fest' award was decided by public vote, with all films in the Official Selection eligible. The 'FFTG Spirit' Award for 2023, themed 'freedom in expression,' was chosen by votes from participating filmmakers and writers.

The Venice Film Festival or Venice International Film Festival is an annual film festival held in Venice, Italy. The Cinequest Film & Creativity Festival is an annual independent film festival held each March in San Jose, California and Redwood City, California. The international festival combines the cinematic arts with Silicon Valley’s innovation. It is produced by Cinequest, a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization that is also responsible for Picture The Possibilities and the distribution label Cinequest Mavericks Studio LLC. Cinequest awards the annual Maverick Spirit Awards. In addition to over 130 world or U.S. premieres from over 30 countries, the festival hosts writer's events including screenwriting competitions, a shorts program, technology and artistic forums and workshops, student programs, and a silent film accompanied on the theatre organ. Founded in 1990 as the Cinequest Film Festival, the festival was rebranded in 2017 as the Cinequest Film & VR Festival and expanded beyond downtown San Jose to Redwood City. The Montreal World Film Festival was one of Canada's oldest international film festivals and the only competitive film festival in North America accredited by the FIAPF. The Arlington International Film Festival (AIFF) is an annual nonprofit film festival dedicated to promoting and increasing multicultural awareness and showcases world cinema and independent films in their original language with English subtitles. The PBS Short Film Festival, previously known as the PBS Online Film Festival, is an annual film festival focused on independent short films, hosted by American public broadcaster PBS. The festival began in 2012. In 2020, the name changed from the PBS Online Film Festival to the PBS Short Film Festival. In 2021, the festival replaced online voting and popularity awards with a jury prize, selected by a jury composed of filmmakers, producers and PBS executives.
