Faisal Ayub Khokhar is a Pakistani politician who has been a Member of the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab since 2024.

Political career

In December 2013, the Auditor General of Pakistan (AGP) declared Khokhar's appointment to the Board of Directors (BoD) of Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) as "politically driven" due to significant conflicts of interest. Despite lacking experience in the power sector, Khokhar was nominated by the Government of Punjab as an independent director of LESCO BoDs while also holding office as a key member of PML-N, serving as the President of its Lahore-City Division chapter. [1]

He was elected to the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab from Constituency PP-168 Lahore-XXIV as a candidate of Pakistan Muslim League (N) (PML-N) in 2024 Pakistani general election. [2]

On 6 March, he was inducted into the provincial cabinet of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz [3] and was appointed as Provincial Minister of Punjab for Sports Affairs. [4]

Later in a statement to the media, he said that he had no intentions of joining politics again and that he would focus on the welfare work done through the Abdul Aleem Khan Foundation but soon after the economic crisis and instability in Pakistan, he decided to join politics again and launched the political party along with renowned politician Jahangir Khan Tareen named the Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party in June 2023. He is a founding member and president of the party.

Malik Asad Ali Khokhar is a Pakistani politician who was a member of the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab from January 2019 till May 2022 and from July 2022 till January 2023. He also served as a Provincial Minister of Punjab For Housing, Urban Development & Public Health.

Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi is a Pakistani politician and Senator who is the current Interior Minister of Pakistan, in office since 11 March 2024 and the current Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board, in office since 6 February 2024.

The Maryam ministry is the Provincial Cabinet of Punjab, Pakistan headed by the present Chief Minister, Maryam Nawaz. The oath-taking ceremony of Maryam as Chief Minister was held on 25 February 2024. The 18-member cabinet ministers took oath on 6 March.

Rana Sikandar Hayat is a Pakistani politician who has been a Member of the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab since 2024.
