Faiz Uddin Ahmed (born 1924) is a Bangladeshi former civil servant, originally at the provincial level in East Pakistan, later in Bangladesh. [1] He was the fourth chairman of the Bangladesh Public Service Commission (BPSC). [2]
Ahmed was recruited into the provincial East Pakistan Civil Service (EPCS) in 1948. [1]
Ahmed joined the Provisional Government of Bangladesh in 1971. He was appointed secretary of the Establishment Division of the Cabinet Secretariat in September 1978. [1] In December 1982, he became chairman of the Bangladesh Public Service Commission, a post he held until 1986. [2]
Fayezuddin Ahmed joined BPSC as Chairman on 22 December 1982 and left it on 31 December 1986 after he had reached the age of sixty-two years. He was an ex-member of the EPCS recruited into that service in 1948 ... He had joined the government-in-exile at Mujibnagar during the liberation war in 1971 ... his appointment as Establishment Secretary ... in September 1978.
