Saiful Azam (Bengali: সাইফুল আজম; was a Pakistan, and then Bangladeshi fighter pilot, (after 1971 Pakistan-India war ace, and politician who first served as a fighter pilot for the Pakistan Air Force and later the Bangladesh Air Force. According to Pakistani sources, during his career as PAF pilot, he shot down one Indian Air Force and four Israel Air Force aircrafts. For his actions, he received various gallantry awards from Pakistan, Jordan and Iraq. He also took part in 12 ground-attack missions against the Indian forces. After the liberation of Bangladesh, he joined the newly formed Bangladesh Air Force.

Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir is a Bangladeshi politician. He has been the secretary general of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) since 2016. He was a member of the parliament for Thakurgaon-1 constituency from 2001 to 2006. In that term, he was also appointed as the Minister of State in charge of the Ministry of Agriculture and later Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism.

Religious discrimination in Pakistan is a serious issue for the human rights situation in modern-day Pakistan. Hindus, Christians, Sikhs, Shias, and Ahmadis among other religious minorities often face discrimination and at times are even subjected to violence. In some cases Christian churches and the worshippers themselves have been attacked. Khawaja Nazimuddin, the 2nd Prime Minister of Pakistan, stated: "I do not agree that religion is a private affair of the individual nor do I agree that in an Islamic state every citizen has identical rights, no matter what his caste, creed or faith be".

Sahibzada Haji Muhammad Fazal Karim was a Pakistani Religious leader and politician who belonged to a great Intellectual and Spiritual family of the World of Islam. He was a senior and the most vocal member of Pakistan MuslimLeague (N), from which he separated later on, for not adopting a Principled stand against Terrorism.He was elected as founder General Secretary of Jamat e Ahle Sunnat Pakistan in 1978 and later served as Senior Vice President of Jamiat Ulema-e-Pakistan (JUP).He was elected from Faisalabad, twice as a member of the Provincial Assembly and Twice as Member of National Assembly from 1993 to 2013. He also served as Minister for Auqaf and Religious Affairs as well as Chairman Muttahida Ulema Board Punjab. He was also the Founder Chairman of the Sunni Ittehad Council, which is an amalgamation of several Barelivi parties across the globe. Suffering from liver cancer, he was hospitalised in Faisalabad in critical condition on April 4, 2013, and died on 15 April 2013.
