Fariba Hashimi (born 22 April 2003) is an Afghan racing cyclist, who currently rides for UCI Women's WorldTeam Ceratizit Pro Cycling. [1] She competed in the road race at the 2024 Paris Olympics alongside her sister Yulduz, despite the Taliban government's ban on women in sports. [2] [3] [4] [5]
In 2022, she won the Afghan road race championships, which were held in Aigle, Switzerland. [6] [7] [8]

Afghanistan has taken part in every recent Olympics since 2004. Afghanistan failed to win a medal at the Paris Olympics 2024.

She competed for Afghanistan in both the time trial and the road race at the 2024 Summer Olympics alongside her sister Fariba, despite the Taliban government's ban on women in sports. They were the first women to compete in cycling for Afghanistan. Hashimi finished 26th in the time trial at the 2024 Olympics.
