Farid Pardashunas (born 1994) is an Azerbaijani journalist, [1] Youtuber, and founder of Technote Media, an online media company. [2] [3] [4]

Early life and education

Pardashunas was born and raised in Baku, Azerbaijan, and earned his bachelor's degree in world economy from Baku State University in 2015.

Career

In 2018, Pardashunas co-founded Hotbots Robotics, which focused on developing automated social media solutions using artificial intelligence technology in the Azerbaijani market. [5] [6] [7] Pardashunas has delivered talks on various topics related to technology, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, [8] and career building at prestigious events and conferences such as TEDx, [9] Trend News Agency, and Jam News. [10] [11] [12] He is also actively involved in supporting students in their career-building efforts and advocating for socially beneficial and professional development through the Barama Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center of Azercell Telecom LLC. [13] [14] Pardashunas has also been invited to major global technology and marketing conferences as a journalist, such as MWC, [15] The Next Web, Cannes Lions, The Slush, Web Summit, Bakutel Tech Talks, [16] and IOI. [17] [18] Pardashunas is also a member of the Public Association Volunteers of the Electronic Social Activity System under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport and a board member of the Azerbaijan Press Council, [19] elected in June 2021 and September 2022, respectively. [20] [21] Pardashunas is also known for his online presence and influence. [22] [23] During the 2020 Nagorno-Karabakh war, he boycotted McDonald's in Azerbaijan, raised concerns about borders on map services, and used social media bots to spread Armenia war news on Facebook. The explosion near the Susuzlug village was a mine explosion in the vicinity of the village of Susuzlug in Azerbaijan's Kalbajar region, which occurred on 4 June 2021. The explosion killed 3 people, two of them journalists, and wounded another 4. This is the first case of journalist death on Azerbaijani territory after the 2020 Nagorno-Karabakh war.
