Farid Touil (born 10 December 1974 in Constantine) is an Algerian former footballer who played in the Algerian Championnat National.

Career

A center forward, Touil played for US Chaouia and ES Sétif before signing with MC Alger in July 2008. [1] He finished his playing career with CS Constantine.

Touil scored the winning goal in the second leg of the 2006–07 Arab Champions League final. [2] [3] He also scored the winning goal in the first leg of the 2007–08 Arab Champions League final. [4]

After he retired from playing, Touil became a member of ES Sétif's coaching staff. [5]

Abdelhakim Serrar is an Algerian former professional football player who won the African Nations Cup in 1990 and is one of a few that won the Afro-Asian Cup for both club and country. Serrar played as a central defender throughout his career for Entente sportive de Sétif. He is currently the president of ES Sétif, and since his presidency the club has been arguably one of the best teams in the division, if not the best. He retired from football on 1 July 1991 at the age of 30.

The ES Sétif–USM Alger rivalry is a football rivalry between Sétif-based ES Sétif and USM Alger of Algiers. The two clubs together won 42 titles from the Ligue Professionnelle 1, Algerian Cup and Super Cup at the local level, Regionally the Arab Champions League And internationally in CAF Champions League, CAF Super Cup and the defunct Afro-Asian Club Championship.

In the 2021–22 season, ES Sétif is competing in the Ligue 1 for the 52nd season. It is their 26th consecutive season in the top flight of Algerian football. They competing in Ligue 1 and the Champions League.
