Fauna is the debut studio album by Danish singer Oh Land. It was released in Denmark on 10 November 2008 by Danish independent label Fake Diamond Records. [1] The album received generally positive acclaim in her home country. [1]

Contents

To celebrate 10 years since the release of Fauna, on 10 November 2018, it was released on a 12" limited light blue 180g vinyl, packaged in a gatefold cover and accompanied by a 16-page booklet. The vinyl, including signed versions, was made available via PledgeMusic. [2]

When signed to Fake Diamond Records, Oh Land released her debut album, Fauna, in November 2008. Following a performance at the 2009 SXSW event, she met a representative from Epic Records and signed with the label. She released her major-label debut single "Sun of a Gun" in October 2010, which charted in five countries and served as the lead single to her 2011 self-titled studio album. Oh Land peaked at number five in Denmark and also entered the Billboard 200 in the United States. It would go on to be certified Platinum for selling over 20,000 copies in the former country. The album spawned four additional singles, including "Wolf & I", "Voodoo", "White Nights", and "Speak Out Now"; the latter two songs both charted within the top twenty in Oh Land's native Denmark and were also certified Gold by IFPI Denmark. The song's release came with the announcement of new dates for her ongoing promotional Family Tree tour. It is an electronic song with a melancholic, piano and string-led production. Venezuelan-American singer-songwriter Devendra Banhart provides background vocals on the song.

"Salt" is a song by Danish singer and songwriter Oh Land for her fifth studio album, Family Tree (2019). Oh Land wrote the song with Thomas Bartlett, the sole producer. Her boyfriend, Adi Zukanovic, plays piano on it with Bartlett and Hungarian conductor Peter Pejtsik. The song represents a change in style from her previous work and features a string-led production with Oh Land's distinctive breathy vocals. Replanting Family Tree is a remix extended play by Danish singer-songwriter Oh Land and American musician Arthur Moon. It was released digitally in Denmark on 18 September 2019, through Tusk or Tooth Records. The EP is the companion release to Oh Land's fifth studio album, Family Tree (2019). The former contains four remixes of songs, created by Moon, that originally appeared on the parent album. Additionally, the previously unreleased "When a Hawk Comes By" appears as a bonus track on it, co-written by the sole producer, Thomas Bartlett, and Oh Land's boyfriend, Adnan Zukanovic.
