Favour Chinagorom Emmanuel (born 7 September 2002) is a Nigerian professional footballer who plays as a defensive midfielder for San Diego Wave FC of the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL).

Club career

Born in Port Harcourt, Emmanuel played for the Abia Angels [1] before joining the Bayelsa Queens in 2022, helping win the NWFL Premiership in her first season. She also made five starts during the 2022 CAF Women's Champions League as they came in third place. [2] [3]

Emmanuel went overseas to Russia in 2024, joining Lokomotiv Moscow who announced her signing on 27 December 2023. [4] In the 2024 season  [ ru ], she appeared in all 22 league games (19 starts) and scored one goal as Lokomotiv finished fourth in the Russian Women's Football Championship. [3] She also helped win the 2024 Russian Women's Cup  [ ru ], scoring three goals in four games. [2] [5] She was named the club's Player of the Month in April and June. [2]

On 20 January 2025, the NWSL's San Diego Wave FC announced that they had signed Emmanuel to a two-year contract, with a club option for an additional year. [2] She joined Chiamaka Okwuchukwu, signed the week before, as the second Nigerian player on the team. [6]

International career

Emmanuel was called up to the Nigeria youth national team at the under-17 and under-20 levels. [1] [7]
