Federico Ruiz Hurtado (born February 8, 1948) is a Venezuelan composer, arranger, and arts administrator. He has composed in diverse genres including symphonic, chamber, and electroacoustic music.

Ruiz was born in Caracas, Venezuela. He was a student at the José Ángel Lamas School of Music  [ es ], where he studied composition with Primo Casale, Vicente Emilio Sojo and Evencio Castellanos; as well as contemporary compositional techniques with Giannis Ioannidis (composer)  [ de ] and Eduardo Kusnir. Ruiz graduated in 1974. [1] [2]

In 1976, Ruiz founded the Quinteto Cantaclaro, which consisted of members Carola Marcano, Inés Feo La Cruz, Efraín Arteaga, Gonzalo Peña, and Felipe Izcaray. [3] His music for film has earned wide popularity in Venezuela [4] and many of his works are part of the repertoire of ensembles in El Sistema. [5] [6] [7]

Música en Compostela is an annual summer course in music performance and composition held in Santiago de Compostela, Spain. It was founded by the Spanish guitarist Andrés Segovia and the diplomat José Miguel Ruiz Morales in 1958. The goal of the founders was to foster the appreciation of Spanish classical music and give students from both Spain and abroad the opportunity to study under some of the country's most prominent musicians and composers. Segovia's masterclasses at Compostela, like those at the Accademia Musicale Chigiana in Siena, were considered "a virtual necessity for aspiring guitar virtuosos." Over the years, composers Óscar Esplá, Federico Mompou, Xavier Montsalvatge, and Joaquín Rodrigo, pianist Alicia de Larrocha, and singers Victoria de los Angeles, Montserrat Caballé and Conchita Badía have also taught courses there.

Luis Zubillaga (1928–1995) was an Argentine composer and educator. He was born in Flores, Buenos Aires and was the lifelong partner of artist Elda Cerrato. As an adolescent, he felt that music, especially jazz, was his calling. From 1948 to 1952, he studied trumpet, theory and harmony with Bernardo Barbará; piano, harmony and composition with Cayetano Marcolli; and from 1955 to 1959, he studied composition with Juan Carlos Paz.

Para Todos los Públicos is the eleventh studio album by Spanish hard rock band Extremoduro, released on 8 November 2013. It was produced by Iñaki "Uoho" Antón, The album's recording started at early 2012 and it was finished at spring of 2013. It was published by Warner Music on 8 November 2013. The first single "¡Qué Borde Era Mi Valle!" was released on 22 October 2013. The album release date was initially scheduled for 19 November 2013 but the album was illegally leaked.

He has also composed works for concert hall premiered throughout Europe and America by recognized soloist and chamber ensembles. As a pianist and composer, he has performed and toured prestigious theaters in Europe, Asia and America. He recorded for labels BMG, IRCO, Magenta Discos and Melopea.

César Pérez Sentenat (1896-1973) was a Cuban pianist and composer. He has been recognized as an important professor of classical piano in Cuba.
