The tournament is organized by the Football Association of Thailand. 91 clubs were accepted into the tournament, and it began with the qualification round on 30 September 2020 and concluded with the final on 11 April 2021. The winner would have qualified for the 2022 AFC Champions League group stage and the 2021 Thailand Champions Cup.
