Fellows Riverside Gardens (11 acres) are public botanical gardens, part of the Mill Creek Metro Parks system. The gardens are located at 123 McKinley Avenue, in Youngstown, Ohio, United States. They are open daily with no admission fee.
In 1958, Elizabeth A. Fellows bequeathed the property to Mill Creek Park, together with funds to create a public garden on the site. She died in 1958 at the age of 96 in her home. In 1962, plans of how the garden would be designed came to fruition by Landscape Architect John L. Paolano. In order to keep the authenticity of the land, he maintained the overlooks and natural rolling landscape. [1] After the design was completed, the first plantings began in 1963.
Today the gardens include labeled flower displays of annuals, chrysanthemums, perennials, and tulips, with over 40,000 bulbs blooming each spring. The rose collection includes a formal rose garden with hybrid tea, floribunda and grandiflora roses, as well as climbing roses along a perennial border walk. Botanical and shrub roses are represented throughout the site. The gardens also contain a variety of labeled trees and woody shrubs, with collections of European beech, dwarf conifers, hollies, and rhododendrons, as well as an observation tower with a fine view of Lake Glacier.
The D.D. and Velma Davis Visitor & Education Center located at the Gardens houses a horticultural library, a Garden Cafe by Kravitz Deli, classrooms, a gift shop and meeting rooms. Many cultural events take place there each year and classes in horticulture, art and culture are offered year-round. The Visitor Center also contains a museum and an art gallery which features nature- and horticulture-themed shows. National and international speakers are hosted at the center as well.
Two other structures, the Gazebo and the Kidston Pavilion, are often the site of weddings, programs, and classes.
The garden is the site of an All-America Selections Roses demonstration garden where new rose varieties are tested before being released to the public, a trial garden for new releases of annuals and perennials and a dahlia trial garden where showy dahlia varieties are tested. The dahlia trial garden is sponsored by the American Dahlia Society.
Children can interact with gardening and take classes in the Family Garden. Some classes and events require a fee.
Several annual events, such as Pumpkin Walk at Twilight, an autumn exhibit of carved and lighted jack-o-lanterns, Winter Nights, a winter display of luminary, and numerous flower shows are hosted at the gardens.
Fellows Riverside Gardens celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2008 with a variety of special events.

In 1987, the entire site was added to the National Register of Historic Places as Elm Bank.
Powell Gardens, Kansas City's botanical garden, is a 970-acre (3.9 km2) botanical garden in Kingsville, Missouri, United States, 30 miles (48 km) east of Kansas City. It features 6,000 varieties of plants, with 225,000 plants in seasonal displays, and is open to the public, for a fee, during daylight hours.
The Government Botanical Garden is a botanical garden in Udhagamandalam, near Coimbatore (Ooty), Tamil Nadu state, India laid out in 1848. The gardens, divided into several sections, cover an area of around 55 acres, and lie on the lower slopes of Doddabetta peak. The garden has a terraced layout. It is maintained by the Tamil Nadu Horticulture Department.

The Minnesota Landscape Arboretum is a 1,200-acre (4.9 km2) horticultural garden and arboretum located about 4 miles (6.4 km) west of Chanhassen, Minnesota at 3675 Arboretum Drive, Chaska, Minnesota. It is part of the Department of Horticultural Science in the College of Food, Agricultural and Natural Resource Sciences at the University of Minnesota, and open to the public every day of the year except Thanksgiving and Christmas. An admission fee is charged, and annual memberships are available. It is the Upper Midwest's largest public garden.
The Michigan State University Horticulture Gardens are horticultural gardens, with a landscape arboretum, located on Bogue Street on the Michigan State University campus in East Lansing, Michigan. The gardens are open to the public daily without charge.
Olbrich Botanical Gardens is a 16 acre outdoor botanical garden and 10,000-square-foot conservatory in Madison, Wisconsin. Founded in 1952 and named for its founder, Michael Olbrich, the gardens are owned and operated jointly by the City of Madison Parks and the non-profit Olbrich Botanical Society.
Rutgers Gardens is the official botanical garden of Rutgers University, located on the outskirts of Rutgers School of Environmental and Biological Sciences, at 112 Ryders Lane, North Brunswick, New Jersey. The grounds include 60 acres of designed beds, specialty gardens, tree and shrub collections, lawns, and walking paths, and the adjoining 70-acre Frank G. Helyar Woods. The gardens are open year-round, without fee, and feature horticultural collections arranged in garden settings. In 2017 it was granted landmark status by the American Society for Horticultural Science.

Mill Creek Park is a metropolitan park located in Youngstown, Ohio. It stretches from the near west side of Youngstown to the southern borders of the city and neighboring Boardman, Ohio. The park "encompasses approximately 4400 acres (10.5 km²), 20 mi (32 km) of drives, and 15 mi (24 km) of foot trails" as well as a variety of bridges, ponds, streams, well-tended gardens, and waterfalls. The Trust for Public Land ranks one part of Mill Creek as the 142nd largest park located within the limits of a U.S. city.

The Columbus Park of Roses, also known as the Whetstone Park of Roses, is a public park and rose garden in Columbus, Ohio. The 13-acre (5.3 ha) park is located within the city's larger Whetstone Park in the Clintonville neighborhood. The free public park is operated by the Columbus Recreation and Parks Department.
