The Fennia Prize is a Finnish design award. The purpose of the Fennia Prize is to present well-designed products and to encourage firms and companies to apply design in a comprehensive and interactive manner in product development, manufacturing and the corporate image. The prize has been awarded since 2003. The Fennia Prize is awarded as a part of the Fennia Prize – Good design grows global competition. [1]
The prize is awarded every second year to a firm or company. In the competition, there are two series: Product Design Series and Open Series, including, for example, business and service concepts and environments. The prize-winning products are presented to the public at the Fennia Prize exhibition.
Design Forum Finland and the Fennia Group are the organizing bodies of the Fennia Prize - Good design grows global competition. The money for the prizes is donated by the Fennia Group. Design Forum is responsible for the realization of the competition and the related exhibition. [1]
1990-2001 a similar competition was arranged under the title Pro Finnish Design.

Eero Saarinen was a Finnish-American architect and industrial designer who created a wide array of innovative designs for buildings and monuments, including General Motors Technical Center in Warren, Michigan; the passenger terminal at Dulles International Airport outside Washington, D.C.; the TWA Flight Center at John F. Kennedy International Airport; and the Gateway Arch in St. Louis. He was the son of Finnish architect Eliel Saarinen.

Ponsse Plc is a company domiciled in Vieremä, Finland, a forest machine manufacturer run by the Vidgrén family. Ponsse manufactures, sells and maintains cut-to-length forest machines such as forwarders and harvesters and also builds their information systems. Harvesters operate digitally: for example, production data is reported daily to the client.
The Design Award of the Federal Republic of Germany is the official design award for Germany presented by the German Ministry for Economics and Technology. The award was given for the first time under the name 'Federal Award for Good Design' in 1969 and thereafter every two years. Moreover, the focus of the award was changed on each occasion. The name of the award was first changed in 1992. Thereafter, the Federal Product Design Award and the Federal Award Promoter of Design — which went to a personality for achievements in the design field — were presented annually. Since 2006, it has been called the Design Award of the Federal Republic of Germany and is given for outstanding achievements in the fields of product and communication design, and to a personality in the design sector. Since 2012, the prize competition has been administered by DMY Berlin GmbH & Co. KG.
Iittala, founded as a glassworks in 1881, is a Finnish design brand specialising in design objects, tableware and cookware. Iittala's official i-logo was designed by Timo Sarpaneva in 1956.

The Red Dot Design Award is an international, annual design competition for product and industrial design, brand and communication design as well as design concepts, in which the Red Dot quality label is awarded to winners. The Red Dot Design Award, which is organized by Red Dot GmbH & Co. KG, dates back to 1954 when the "Verein Industrieform e. V." was founded.
Jukka Setala is a Finnish designer. He completed his study as an interior architect at the University of Art and Design Helsinki in 1996. He designed a notable lamp but he is best known for his "Fatboy" beanbag chairs.
Kristiina Lassus is a Finnish product designer and interior architect. Kristiina Lassus graduated from the University of Industrial Arts of Helsinki (UIAH) with a Master of Arts (MA) in Design Leadership in 1992 and further specialized in product development at the Helsinki University of Technology in 1993. She had her second MA in Interior Architecture and Furniture Design from the UIAH in 1995.
Design Forum Finland is the promotion organization of Finnish design. It is maintained by the Finnish Society of Crafts and Design, which was founded in 1875. The aim of Design Forum Finland is to promote Finnish design both nationally and internationally and to encourage business life to utilize the opportunities of design. Among other things Design Forum Finland awards prizes, reports about current issues in the design field of Finland and organizes competitions and exhibitions.
Jacob Jensen was a Danish industrial designer best known for his work with Bang & Olufsen. Jensen designed numerous popular high-end consumer products, developing a functional minimalism style that formed a prominent part of the Danish modern movement. In 1958 he founded the Jacob Jensen Design Studio. Jensen designed for other brands including Alcatel, Kirk, Boform, General Electric, International Gift Corporation, JO-JO, Labofa, Rodenstock, Rosti, and Stentofon. His works have been featured at the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York City, and have received numerous design awards.
Molo Design Limited, stylized as molo, is a multidisciplinary design and production studio based in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada led by Stephanie Forsythe and Todd MacAllen. The studio integrates the practices of architecture, craft, and product design. molo products develop from Forsythe and MacAllen's materials research and studies.
Takashi Yamaguchi is a Japanese architect, born in Kyoto. He graduated from Kyoto University and worked for Tadao Ando and Associates. He founded his own architectural firm, Takashi Yamaguchi & Associates, in 1996. Yamaguchi served as a visiting professor at the Osaka University of Arts in 2005, and in 2009 served as visiting professor at Columbia University and visiting scholar at Harvard. He is a professor at Osaka Sangyo University and a member of the Japan Institute of Architects and the Architectural Institute of Japan. He is an elite member of the Supporters of Romania Research at the Academy of Romanian Scientists. He is also a Regional President of Asia Designer Communication Platform.

The practice work lies at the intersection of architectural signage, branding, graphic design and strategy of communication and is notable for its inventiveness in dramatically complex projects.

The company manufactures landfill compactors and recycling machinery. Tana is a pioneer of using digital systems and artificial intelligence in its equipment.
