Field hockey at the 2005 Maccabiah Games

Field hockey was first included in the 1997 Maccabi Games . [1] Since then it has been a part of all Israel games and Pan Am Games. Field hockey has never been part of the Europe Games.

The 2005 team,[ which? ] like the previous teams, won the bronze medal. [2] Teammates Ariel Eber, Haley Rosengarten, Jillian Carroll, Cara Singer, as well as a few others helped to win the medal. The team beat South Africa to make it to the bronze medal match against Australia. They were able to beat Australia.

In 2006, the team traveled to the inaugural Australian Games in Sydney. [3] Again, they took home the bronze medal. The following winter the team traveled to Buenos Aires, Argentina for the Pan Am Games. [4] This event was held as a 7v7 style tournament. The team was made up of; Lauren Hill, Ariel Eber, Jillian Carroll, Amanda Saber, Jenny Saber, Cara Singer, Erica Gelb, Rachel Magerman, Ali Fox, Alyssa Sands and was coached by Mim Chappell-Eber, a former Maccabi Player [1997, 1999, 2001, 2006] and coach [2001, 2005, 2006, 2008, 2009].

Argentina mens national field hockey team

The Argentina national field hockey team, represents Argentina in field hockey and is governed by the Argentine Hockey Confederation (CAH). The current coach is Mariano Ronconi, who was appointed after Germán Orozco was let go in 2020. The team is currently sixth in the FIH World Rankings.

María Cecilia Rognoni is a retired Argentine field hockey player, who won the 2002 World Cup in Perth, Australia where she was elected as the best woman hockey player in the world by the FIH. She is currently playing in the Dutch team HC Bloemendaal in the second division of the Netherlands.

Eugene Oberst American sportsperson (1901–1991)

Eugene G. Oberst was an American football player, track and field athlete, coach of football and basketball, and college athletics administrator. A native of Owensboro, Kentucky, he played football at the University of Notre Dame in the 1920s under coach Knute Rockne, and competed in track and field as a javelin thrower. He won the Olympic bronze medal at the 1924 Summer Games in Paris. Oberst served as the head football coach at Washington and Lee University (1929–1930), Canisius College (1931–1932), and John Carroll University (1946).

2005 Maccabiah Games

The 2005 Maccabiah Games, held in Israel, were the 17th incarnation of the 'Jewish Olympics.' They attracted the largest attendance of any Maccabiah Games, including more than 900 representatives from the United States, almost 500 from Australia, and more than 2,000 from Israel, bringing the total participants to more than 7,700 from 55 countries.

2009 Maccabiah Games

The 2009 Maccabiah Games, the 18th incarnation of the Maccabiah Games, were held in July 2009. According to the organizing committee these were the largest games held yet. These Games were the world's fifth-largest sporting event, behind the Olympic Games, Commonwealth Games, World Police and Fire Games, and Universiade. On the 13 July, more than 6,000 Jewish athletes from all over the world joined Team Israel's 3,000 participants at the Ramat Gan Stadium in Tel Aviv District, Israel, for the opening ceremony. American swimmer Jason Lezak was given the honor of lighting the Maccabiah torch at the Opening Ceremony.

Claudia Burkart Argentine field hockey player

Claudia Inés Burkart is a field hockey player from Argentina who won the bronze medal with the national team at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens and at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing. Claudia has also won two World Cups, four Champions Trophy, two gold medals at the Pan American Games and two Pan American Cups.

Gudinas won three [www.internationalracquetball.com International Racquetball Federation] (IRF) World Championships in Women’s Singles, and was the #1 player on the women's pro racquetball tour from 2000-2004, finishing in the top 10 on tour a record 21 seasons.

Geneviève Lacasse Canadian ice hockey player

Geneviève Lacasse is a Canadian ice hockey goaltender currently playing for the Montréal section of the PWHPA. She is also a member of the Canada women's national ice hockey team with whom she has won gold medals at both the Olympic Games and IIHF World Championships. The New South Wales Arrows are a nationally competing field hockey team based in Sydney, Australia. Their most recent Australian Hockey League title win was in 2014. In 2015, NSW beat the ACT in the bronze medal playoff, securing 3rd place in the final rankings after beating Canberra Labor Club Strikers 3-1. The NSW Arrows are the most successful team in the AHL, winning a record 9 titles in the years 1993, 1996, 1998-2002, 2009 and 2014.

2013 Maccabiah Games

The 19th Maccabiah were the 19th incarnation of the Maccabiah Games, which took place July 18 to 30, 2013.

Agustina Albertarrio is an Argentine field hockey player. She plays with the Argentina national field hockey team, winning silver medal at the 2020 Summer Olympics.

Eli Dershwitz is an American left-handed sabre fencer, four-time individual Pan American champion, and two-time Olympian.

Autumn Mills is a former competitor with the York Lions women's ice hockey program. She is a member of the Canada women's national baseball team which won a silver medal at the 2015 Pan American Games.
