The Fife Herald & Post is a weekly Scottish freesheet that delivers to households in Dunfermline, Kirkcaldy, Cowdenbeath, Inverkeithing and surrounding areas. The paper used to be called the Dunfermline Herald & Post.
It consists mainly of advertising and promotional pieces, with some editorial relating to local news and sport. It has a circulation of 46,000 and is owned by Johnston Press, which also owns The Scotsman and Edinburgh Evening News.

The Fife Circle Line is the local rail service north from Edinburgh. It links towns of south Fife and the coastal towns along the Firth of Forth before heading to Edinburgh. The Fife Cup is a Scottish regional football competition for clubs in the historic county of Fife. The competition was founded by the Fifeshire Football Association in 1882. The competition was originally known as the "Fifeshire Cup" from 1882–1896 and the "Fife and District Cup" between 1896 and 1900. It also run on league lines between 1903 and 1905 called the "Fifeshire League" before its current name.

The Dunfermline and Queensferry Railway was a railway company founded to form part of a rail and ferry route between Dunfermline and Edinburgh, in Scotland. It was authorised in 1873 and its promoters had obtained informal promises from the larger North British Railway that the NBR would provide financial help, and also operate the ferry and the necessary railway on the southern side of the Firth of Forth.

Elections to Fife Council took place on 5 May 2022 on the same day as the 31 other Scottish local government elections. As with other Scottish council elections, it was held using single transferable vote (STV) – a form of proportional representation – in which multiple candidates are elected in each ward and voters rank candidates in order of preference.
