Shane Gilberto Jenek, better known under the stage name Courtney Act, is an Australian drag queen, singer and television personality. Courtney first came to prominence competing on the first season of Australian Idol in 2003. After the show, she signed to BMG Australia, and she released her debut single, "Rub Me Wrong", which peaked at No. 29 on the ARIA Singles Chart and eventually gained a gold certification, ten years after its release. While auditioning for Australian Idol, she also became the first LGBTQ contestant to openly appear on a reality TV talent show. In 2014, Courtney was one of the runners-up in season six of RuPaul's Drag Race. In June 2019, a panel of judges from New York magazine placed her third on their list of "the most powerful drag queens in America", a ranking of 100 former Drag Race contestants.
Moldova has participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 15 times, debuting in 2005. The country's best result is a third-place finish for SunStroke Project in 2017, with their song "Hey, Mamma!".
The Czech Republic has participated at the Eurovision Song Contest eight times since making its debut in 2007. After receiving nul points in the semi-final of the 2009 contest and a lack of interest from the Czech public, Czech broadcaster Česká televize (ČT) decided to withdraw from future contests. ČT announced their return to the contest in 2015, with an internal selection being used to select their fourth Eurovision entry.
Nevena Ivanović is a Serbian singer-songwriter. She made her singing debut by representing Serbia at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2007 with song "Piši mi", placing third. Božović rose to prominence as the runner-up on the televised singing competition Prvi glas Srbije in 2012.
Australia has participated in the Eurovision Song Contest five times since their debut in 2015 and has been in the top ten four times. They are the second country outside of the Eurasia region with Morocco competing in the 1980 contest. The country's best result in the contest is a second-place finish for Dami Im in 2016. Australia also finished in the top ten in three of its other appearances in the contest, with Guy Sebastian finishing fifth in 2015, and both Isaiah Firebrace and Kate Miller-Heidke finishing ninth in 2017 and 2019.
Jessica Alyssa Cerro, who performs as Montaigne, is an Australian art pop singer-songwriter-musician. Her debut album, Glorious Heights, was released on 5 August 2016, which peaked at No. 4 on the ARIA Albums Chart. At the ARIA Music Awards of 2016 she won Breakthrough Artist – Release for the album and was nominated for three other categories. In April 2016 she was a featured vocalist on Hilltop Hoods' track, "1955", which reached No. 2 on the ARIA Singles Chart. She was supposed to represent Australia in the Eurovision Song Contest 2020 with her song "Don't Break Me", until the contest was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. On 2 April 2020, it was announced that she would represent Australia in the Eurovision Song Contest 2021.
"Fairytale" is a song by Albanian singer Eneda Tarifa. It was issued as a single on 30 March 2016 by Radio Televizioni Shqiptar (RTSH) and Universal Music. The English-language mid-tempo power rock ballad was composed and written by Olsa Toqi. An accompanying music video was premiered to the official YouTube channel of the Eurovision Song Contest on 13 March 2016.
The Eurovision Song Contest 2019 was the 64th edition of the annual Eurovision Song Contest. It took place in Tel Aviv, Israel, following Netta's win at the 2018 contest in Lisbon, Portugal, with the song "Toy". It was the third time Israel had hosted the contest, having previously done so in 1979 and 1999. However, this was the first time Israel hosted the contest outside of Jerusalem. Organised by the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) and host broadcaster Israeli Public Broadcasting Corporation (IPBC), the contest was held at Expo Tel Aviv, and consisted of two semi-finals on 14 and 16 May, and the final on 18 May 2019. The three live shows were hosted by Erez Tal, Bar Refaeli, Assi Azar and Lucy Ayoub.
San Marino participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2019. The Sammarinese broadcaster San Marino RTV (SMRTV) confirmed that a season of 1in360 would not take place this year as it had been discussed. On 21 January 2019, it was announced that Serhat had been internally selected to represent San Marino in the 2019 contest in Tel Aviv, Israel. Serhat represented San Marino back in 2016 but failed to qualify for the final. He performed the 2019 entry "Say Na Na Na" in the first semi-final on 14 May 2019, in Tel Aviv, in which he finished at 8th place with 150 points, advancing to the Grand Final, being the second time San Marino qualifies after their 2014 entry. Serhat performed at the Grand Final on 18 May and finished 19th with 77 points, giving San Marino its best result to date.
Germany participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2019. The German entry was selected through the national final Unser Lied für Israel, organised by the German broadcaster Norddeutscher Rundfunk (NDR).
Ireland participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 with the song "22", performed by Sarah McTernan and written by Janieck Devy, Marcia "Misha" Sondeijker, and Roel Rats. The song and the singer were internally selected in March 2019 by the Irish broadcaster Raidió Teilifís Éireann (RTÉ) to represent the nation at the 2019 contest in Tel Aviv, Israel.

The United Kingdom participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2019. The British broadcaster British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) organised the national final Eurovision: You Decide 2019 in order to select the British entry for the 2019 contest in Tel Aviv, Israel.

Italian broadcaster RAI announced in November 2018 that the winning performer(s) of the Sanremo Music Festival 2019, later turning out to be Mahmood with "Soldi", would earn the right to represent the nation at the Eurovision Song Contest in Tel Aviv, Israel.

Prior to this, he won the first series of BBC One's singing competition All Together Now in 2018, and also appeared in the eleventh series of The X Factor in 2014.
"Better Love" is a song performed by Greek-Canadian singer Katerine Duska. The song represented Greece in the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 in Tel Aviv, where it placed 21st in the final with 74 points. It was released on 6 March 2019.
Leonora Colmor Jepsen, also known simply as Leonora, is a Danish singer and former competitive figure skater. As a figure skater, she was a two-time national junior champion in singles in 2015, 2016 and represented her country at the 2016 World Junior Championships. As a singer, she won the 2019 Dansk Melodi Grand Prix and represented Denmark at that year's Eurovision Song Contest in Tel Aviv, finishing 12th with 120 points.
