The ice dance competition of the 2024 Winter Youth Olympics will be held at the Gangneung Ice Arena on 28 January (rhythm dance) and 30 January 2024 (free dance). [1] [2]

The World Figure Skating Championships, commonly referred to as "Worlds", are an annual figure skating competition sanctioned by the International Skating Union. Medals are awarded in men's singles, women's singles, pair skating, and ice dance. Generally held in March, the World Championships are considered the most prestigious of the ISU Figure Skating Championships. With the exception of the Olympic title, a world title is considered to be the highest competitive achievement in figure skating.
The European Figure Skating Championships are an annual figure skating competition in which figure skaters compete for the title of European champion. Medals are awarded in men's singles, women's singles, pair skating, and ice dance. The event is sanctioned by the International Skating Union (ISU) and is the sport's oldest competition. The first European Championships were held in 1891 in Hamburg, Germany, and featured one segment, compulsory figures, with seven competitors. They have been held continuously since 1891, with only five interruptions, and have been sanctioned by the ISU since 1893. Women were allowed to compete for the first time in 1930, which is also the first time pair skating was added to the competition. Ice dance was added in 1954. Only eligible skaters from ISU member countries in Europe are allowed to compete.
Evan Bates is an American ice dancer. With his skating partner, Madison Chock, he is the 2022 Olympic gold medalist in the team event, the 2023 and 2024 World champion, the 2023–24 Grand Prix Final champion, a three-time Four Continents champion, and a five-time U.S. national champion. The two represented the United States at the 2014, 2018 and 2022 Winter Olympics.
Madison Hubbell is an American former ice dancer. She competed with Zachary Donohue from 2011 to 2022. With him, she is a two-time 2022 Winter Olympics medalist, a four-time World medalist, the 2018 Grand Prix Final champion, the 2014 Four Continents champion, and a three-time U.S. national champion.
Piper Gilles is an American-Canadian ice dancer who currently represents Canada internationally. With Paul Poirier, she is a three-time World medalist, the 2024 Four Continents champion, and the 2022–23 Grand Prix Final champion. As well, she is a six-time ISU Grand Prix gold medalist and three-time Canadian national champion. Gilles and Poirier competed for Canada at the 2018 and 2022 Winter Olympics.
Marco Fabbri is an Italian ice dancer. With his skating partner, Charlène Guignard, he is a two-time World medalist, a two-time European champion (2023–24), a two-time European bronze medalist, a three-time Grand Prix Final medalist, and six-time Italian national champion (2019–24). The two are also five-time Lombardia Trophy champions, two-time Golden Spin of Zagreb champions, and eight-time Italian national silver medalists. They represented Italy at the 2014, 2018 and 2022 Winter Olympics.
Paul Poirier is a Canadian ice dancer. With Piper Gilles, he is a three-time World medalist, the 2024 Four Continents champion, and the 2022–23 Grand Prix Final champion. As well, he is a six-time ISU Grand Prix gold medalist and three-time Canadian national champion. Gilles and Poirier competed for Canada at the 2018 and 2022 Winter Olympics.
Madison La'akea Te-Lan Hall Chock is an American ice dancer. With her skating partner, Evan Bates, she is the 2022 Olympic gold medalist in the team event, the 2023 and 2024 World champion, the 2023–24 Grand Prix Final champion, a three-time Four Continents champion, and a five-time U.S. national champion. She is a three-time Olympian, having represented the United States at the 2014, 2018, and 2022 Winter Olympics.
Juulia Turkkila is a Finnish figure skater. Competing in ice dancing with Matthias Versluis, she is the 2023 European bronze medalist, a two-time Grand Prix of Espoo bronze medalist, 2023 CS Finlandia Trophy gold medalist, and a four-time Finnish national champion.
