Martín Fierro, also known as El Gaucho Martín Fierro, is a 2,316-line epic poem by the Argentine writer José Hernández. The poem was originally published in two parts, El Gaucho Martín Fierro (1872) and La Vuelta de Martín Fierro (1879). The poem supplied a historical link to the gauchos' contribution to the national development of Argentina, for the gaucho had played a major role in Argentina's independence from Spain.

Oreiro has worked on social awareness shows and events for organizations like Greenpeace and UNICEF, the latter of which designated her as ambassador for Argentina and Uruguay in September 2011. She has been included in Esquire magazine's "The Sexiest Woman Alive Atlas" list.

The Martín Fierro Awards is the name of the most prominent awards for Argentine radio and television, granted by APTRA, the Association of Argentine Television and Radio Journalists. The awards were first given in 1959, limited to television. The next year, the awards adopted its current name, after José Hernández' epic poem Martín Fierro. It was embodied on a statuette of a gaucho, by sculptor Luis Perlotti, weighing over 2 kilograms (4 lb). When the award began, the sole television station in the country was Channel 7. As the media outlets grew, the awards expanded to incorporate media from throughout the country. In 1967, radio productions were included in the awards for the first time. Nowaday there is a special rotating venue, honoring the winners from all the Provinces.

You Are the One is a 2006 Argentine romantic comedy television series, directed by Rodolfo Antúnez and Jorge Bechara and broadcast by El Trece between 16 January 2006, and 9 January 2007. It is the second telenovela starring Facundo Arana and Natalia Oreiro as lead actors. The production included many location shootings, even during the 2006 FIFA World Cup in Germany, and many guest stars.

Rosa María Juana Martínez Suárez, known by her stage name Mirtha Legrand is an Argentine actress and television presenter, twin sister of Silvia Legrand. With an 80-year career, Legrand is one of the most recognized entertainment figure in Argentina. Despite having appeared in 36 films and twelve theatrical performances, Legrand is best known for her interview television programme Almorzando con las estrellas that first aired in 1968 on Alejandro Romay's channel 9. The show was later renamed Almorzando con Mirtha Legrand.

Periodismo para todos is an Argentine investigative journalism television program. It is hosted by the journalist Jorge Lanata, and airs on Sunday nights in eltrece. It was highly critical during the Cristina Fernández de Kirchner presidency. In 2013, it won several Martín Fierro Awards including best news TV program and best journalistic work for Jorge Lanata. During Fernández de Kirchner's presidency, it was censored in several provinces of Argentina with governors aligned with the president: Tucumán, Formosa Mendoza and Río Negro.

El Puntero is a 2011 Argentine miniseries, produced by Pol-Ka and starred by Julio Chávez and Gabriela Toscano. "Puntero" is a word from Argentine slang for a man who works as an intermediate between poor people and political parties, in a clientelist relation. The miniseries received the Golden Martín Fierro Award.
