Fina Miralles Nobell (born 27 September 1950 in Sabadell) is a Catalan artist who has worked with all types of media moving from conceptual art.

Art career

She studied at the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Barcelona. She has had an extensive career within the national and international cultural: she directed the Sala Vinçon Barcelona, Sabadell Chamber Three, among others. From 1983, she left the world of professional art and travels to Latin America and France. Settled permanently in Cadaqués in 1999, after twenty-five years of pilgrimage. [1] [2]

Enric Miralles Moya was a Spanish architect from Barcelona. He graduated from the Barcelona School of Architecture (ETSAB) at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC) in 1978. After establishing his reputation with a number of collaborations with his first wife Carme Pinós, the couple separated in 1991. Miralles later married fellow architect Benedetta Tagliabue, and the two practiced together as EMBT Architects. Miralles' magnum opus and his largest project, the new Scottish Parliament Building, was unfinished at the time of his death.

Barcelona–Vallès Line Railway line in Barcelona, Spain

The Barcelona–Vallès Line is an unconnected standard gauge railway line linking Barcelona with Sabadell and Terrassa via the Collserola mountain range, in Catalonia, Spain. Its name refers to the Catalan historical region of Vallès, whereby most part of the line runs. Plaça de Catalunya station serves as the Barcelona terminus of the line, where almost all its trains either start or terminate. The line then continues northwards and branches off twice before leaving the city limits. Its main route splits in two in Sant Cugat del Vallès, forming two major branches to Sabadell and Terrassa. It has 40 passenger stations in operation and a total line length of 48.1 kilometres (29.9 mi).

Antoni Taulé

Antoni Taulé is a Spanish painter, architect, and performer. A street artist during the sixties, his art has been labelled as part of hyperrealism and a representative of the “new figurative” movement. He paints classical empty buildings and interiors: ballrooms, office receptions, halls of the Louvre museum, chambers of the Prado, the Palace of Versailles, monumental spaces that fuse reality and fiction under a fleeting atmosphere of light.

Albert Ràfols-Casamada

Albert Ràfols-Casamada was a Catalan painter, poet and art teacher involved in the vanguard movements of his time. He is considered one of the most important, multifaceted Catalan artists of his time. His artwork began in the post-expressionist, figurative sphere but soon developed into his own abstract style grounded in a poetic rendering of everyday reality.

Architecture of Barcelona

The architecture of Barcelona has had a parallel evolution to that of the rest of the Catalan and Spanish architecture, and has followed in diverse ways the multiple trends that have been produced in the context of the history of Western architecture. Throughout its history, Barcelona has welcomed various cultures and civilizations, which have contributed their concept of art and have left their legacy for posterity, from the first Iberian settlers, through the Roman colonizers, the Visigoths, and a brief Islamic period, until the emergence in the Middle Ages of Catalan art, language and culture, in which the Romanesque and Gothic were very fruitful periods for the artistic development of the region.

Francesca Llopis is a visual artist from Barcelona. She began exhibiting in 1981. Her works are based and focused on her travels and on nature, mainly working on painting, drawing and video installations and collaborating with other artists such as Barbara Held and Robert Waytt. "Painting, drawing and image in movement are the basis and the main instrumental from which arises the system where I start any proposal".

Flores & Prats is an architectural practice based in Barcelona, Spain, founded by Eva Prats and Ricardo Flores in 1998.

Alve Valdemi del Mare was an Italian painter established in Barcelona. Formed in Bergamo and in Milan. Later left to Paris, where he was called to fight in World War I. At a later date, in 1926 came back to Barcelona, where collaborated with Sala Gaspar and La Pinacoteca. To artistic level, specialised in the dead natures and the paintings of flowers, although also preserve landscapes and his figures.
