The Finnish Cup (Suomen Cup in Finnish) is the national ice hockey cup competition in Finland. It was played from 1955-1958 and from 1964-1971. The Finnish Cup returned to the competition program in autumn 2017. [1] [2]

The 2022 Finnish Cup was attended by all Mestis and Suomi-sarja teams and 24 teams from the 2. Divisioona, for a total of 50 teams. The 2023 cup was cancelled due to lack of participants. [3]

The 1944–45 SM-sarja season was the 14th season of the SM-sarja, the top level of ice hockey in Finland. Nine teams participated in the league, and Ilves Tampere won the championship.

The 2010–11 IIHF European Women's Champions Cup was the seventh holding of the IIHF European Women Champions Cup (EWCC). Ilves Tampere Naiset of the Naisten SM-sarja won the tournament for the first time, the first Finnish team to claim the title.

HPK Kiekkonaiset or HPK Naiset are an ice hockey team in the Naisten Liiga (NSML), the premier women's ice hockey league in Finland. They play in Hämeenlinna, a city in the Finnish south-central province of Kanta-Häme, at the Hämeenlinnan harjoitushalli, a secondary ice rink at Ritari-areena. HPK were the first team to be awarded the Aurora Borealis Cup as the winners of the Finnish Championship in 2011 and also won bronze in the 2011–12 IIHF European Women's Champions Cup.

The history of the Porin Ässät starts in 1925, when Porin Palloilijat was established, even though PoPa is often considered as a separate club from Ässät.

The 1967–68 Porin Ässät season was the club's inaugural season. Ässät had been formed after a merger with Porin Karhut and RU-38 in June 1967 and would compete in the top-tier of ice hockey in Finland, the SM-sarja. Ässät inherited Karhut's place in the 1967 Finnish Cup, which it won after beating SaPKo 7–0 in the final. Ässät also inherited RU-38's place in the IIHF European Cup, as RU-38 had won the Finnish Championship 1967.

The 1968–69 Porin Ässät season was the club's second season in the SM-sarja, the top-tier of ice hockey in Finland. Ässät had finished 4th place last season, also winning the Finnish Cup. Like the last season, Ässät finished 4th place.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">1966–67 RU-38 season</span> SM-sarja team season

The 1966–67 Rosenlewin Urheilijat-38 season was the team's third season in the SM-sarja, the top-tier of ice hockey in Finland. It was also the team's last season as it was merged with the local rivals Porin Karhut to form the Porin Ässät in June 1967. RU-38 were Finnish champions in the season for the first time in their history.

The 1970–71 Porin Ässät season was the club's fourth season in the SM-sarja, the top-tier of ice hockey in Finland. Ässät finished 3rd in the regular season, but finished first in the final series to become the Finnish champions for the very first time in the club's history.

The 1969–70 Porin Ässät season was the club's third season in the SM-sarja, the top-tier ice hockey league in Finland. Ässät finished 6th in the league.
