AAG TV Pakistani music channel

AAG TV is a youth entertainment channel in Pakistan, owned by Independent Media Corporation. Launched in 2006 by Geo Television Network, it was associated with Fire Records, a record label in Pakistan. Certain notable artists within the Pakistani music industry were signed by Fire Records. In 2013, Aag TV shut down in the United Kingdom and Ireland, and was replaced by Geo Tez. Now it is only available in the United States.

Fire Records (Pakistan) was a Pakistani record label owned by AAG TV. It managed many artists between 2006 and 2013. According to Pakistan's The News on Sunday, the label held a virtual monopoly over major music releases in Pakistan in the mid-to-late 2000s. The record label has been a subject of controversy since its inception and after it ceased operations as being responsible for the decline of the Pakistani music industry.

Himayat Ali Shair was an Urdu poet, writer, film songwriter, actor and radio drama artist from Pakistan. He received the 2002 Pride of Performance Award for his literary services in Urdu literature from the president of Pakistan. He also received 2 Nigar Awards in 1962 and 1963 for 'Best Song Lyricist' for the Pakistani films "Aanchal" (1962) and "Daman" (1963).

<i>Sur Kshetra</i> Television series

Sur Kshetra is a 2012 singing talent show or musical battle between teams of two neighboring countries: Pakistan and India. The show is hosted by Indian actress Ayesha Takia. The Pakistani Team is led by singer, music director, music composer, actor Atif Aslam and the Indian Team is led by music director Himesh Reshammiya.

Nabeel Shaukat Ali is a Pakistani singer. He contested in Sur Kshetra, a singing talent show – the musical battle between teams of two neighboring countries: Pakistan and India aired simulcast on Geo TV, Sahara One, Colors TV, AAG TV as well as Rishtey. He ultimately came first in the finals and was declared the winner of the show.

Makan (Urdu: مكان is a Pakistani TV Drama Series, which was broadcast on GEO TV. The serial is directed by Kamran Qureshi, written by Bushra Ansari and produced by Humayun Saeed and Abdullah Kadwani's production house 7th Sky Entertainment. The story based on extramarital affairs, the dignity of family relations and has the essence of the realities of life.

Shehzad Sheikh is a Pakistani television and film actor. He is the son of Pakistani actor, director and producer Jawed Sheikh. He made his acting debut with the television series Dreamers (2011), and has since gained success with starring roles in several successful television series, including the comedy Annie Ki Ayegi Baraat (2012), the teen romance Choti Si Zindagi (2016), the romantic drama Mohabbat Tumse Nafrat Hai (2017), the spiritual drama Alif Allah Aur Insaan (2017), the religious drama Qurban (2017), and the romances Tabeer (2018), Anaa (2019). <i>Master of None</i> American comedy television series

Master of None is an American comedy-drama streaming television series, which was released for streaming on November 6, 2015, on Netflix. The series was created by Aziz Ansari and Alan Yang, with the first two seasons starring Ansari in the lead role of Dev Shah, a 30-year-old actor, and the third season starring Lena Waithe in the lead role of Denise, a 37-year-old lesbian novelist, mostly following their romantic, professional, and personal experiences. The first season is set in New York City, and consists of ten episodes. The second season, which takes place in Italy and New York, consists of ten episodes and was released on May 12, 2017. The third season, Moments in Love, premiered on Netflix on May 23, 2021.

Hameed Akhtar, was a veteran newspaper columnist, writer, journalist and the secretary-general of the Progressive Writers Association in Pakistan. He was also the father of popular TV actress Saba Hameed.

Kahan Tum Chalay Gaye is a Pakistani drama serial that first aired on Geo Entertainment on 10 February 2016. It is produced by Babar Javed and Asif Raza. It currently airs every Sunday 7pm only on Geo Entertainment, after being moved from the Wed&Thurs 10pm-11pm slot. The show went off air unfinished after 9-10 episodes due to military censor issues but then resumed after 2 months, in May 2016, with a name change.

<i>Sammi</i> (TV series) Television series

Sammi(in Punjabi سمی ) is a Pakistani television drama serial about social causes that airs on Hum TV from 28 January 2017. It is written by Noor ul Huda Shah and directed by Saife Hassan. Set in rural Rahim Yar Khan, the series centers social issues on the rural society revolving around the concept of Vanni and shows moral lessons against common issues such as gender discrimination. Depicting the Vanni concept, storyline revolves around the journey of Sammi, a young girl who was sold off by her family to the Chaudhry family where her brother had killed her fiancé. Simultaneously it revolves around reality based issues with different characters within the same plot. It was nominated for Best Drama Serial at the 6th Hum Awards.

Murder of Zainab Ansari 2018 rape and murder case in Kasur, Punjab, Pakistan

Zainab Amin Ansari was a seven-year-old Pakistani girl who was abducted in her hometown of Kasur, Punjab while she was on her way to Quran recitation classes on 4 January 2018. Her body was found discarded five days later within a garbage disposal site near the city of Lahore on 9 January 2018; an autopsy report disclosed that she had been extensively raped and tortured before being strangled to death. Her rapist and murderer, 24-year-old Imran Ali, was arrested and identified as a serial killer responsible for at least seven previous rapes and murders of prepubescent girls in the region.

<i>Romeo Weds Heer</i> Pakistani tv series

Romeo Weds Heer is a 2018 Pakistani drama serial, directed by Anjum Shahzad, written by Muhammad Younis Butt and produced by 7th Sky Productions. It stars Feroze Khan and Sana Javed in lead roles. The show was originally aired in single episodes on Sunday evenings, but towards the end of its run, it began to run episodes in a mega-episode format because of low ratings on Sunday evenings. It premiered on 21 October 2018 on Geo Entertainment. The series ended on 26 May 2019.

Kis Ki Aayegi Baraat or Baraat Series is a Pakistani comedy television series developed by Marina Khan and Nadeem Baig for Geo Entertainment. It is loosely based on the marriage ceremonies took place in Punjabi families in Punjab, and stars Bushra Ansari as a comical woman named Saima Chaudhry along with Saba Hameed, Javed Shaikh and Shehryar Zaidi. The series has received generally positive reviews from critics.

Ali Ansari is a Pakistani actor, model, musician and video jockey. Born in Lahore into Momin Ansari family, he began his career as a RJ for hit radio show "Dude, where’s my song?" and then became a model. He made his debut as a television actor in the 2015 television soap series, Riffat Appa Ki Bahuein. He gained popularity by playing the role of "Saarim" in romantic saga Khaani, "Arham" in Mehreen Jabbar's small screen venture Dino Ki Dulhaniya and as "Rayed" in Rang Mahal (2021). Ansari is currently appearing in a leading role in Moomal Entertainment's Bebaak.
