Firefly is a Filipino/English Indie rock band.
The Firefly band sings about love or heartbreak and articulates ways to prevent destructive fires.
The band, whose name means Firemen Forever Love You, first jammed together during the Bureau of Fire Protection Christmas Party on December 22, 2002. The group continued to deliver their message through original songs compiled in their Langit album. It has the carrier single "Langit", which features Cesar Apolinario as the singer. It also includes the tracks "Kasama Mo Ako" featuring Rico J. Puno, "Trapik", "Kalikasan", "Sunog", "Taong Grasa", "Mr. Bell", "Hoy!", "I Love You", and "Nasaan Ka Na".
Firefly is composed of three active firefighters who recognise that they have the primary responsibility to put out fires and to promote safety awareness among Filipinos. These are F/Chief Insp. Leonardo "Popoy" Sabellina Jr. (band leader, guitarist, vocals), Fire Officer 2 Richard Erichson Malamug (lead guitar and vocals), FO1 Rhoderick Herrera (bass). They are joined by a civilian musician, Nowie Favila who shares his talent in playing drums.
After five years of performing, the band broke up in 2007, only to reunite in March 2008 for Fire Prevention Month. The group was dubbed the "Singing Firemen" in GMA-7 shows such as 24 Oras and Mel and Joey . In ABS-CBN, they were featured in the late-night show Bandila. It was at that time when the band met GMA-7 reporter and director of the award-winning film "Banal", Cesar Apolinario.
Upon learning about their advocacy, Cesar offered his services from conceptualization and scriptwriting to casting and directing-in order to create their first video Sunog.

Whitecross is an American Christian metal band from Illinois, formed in 1985 by singer Scott Wenzel and guitarist Rex Carroll, and re-formed in 2000. The band won three Dove Awards in the 1990s.
P.O.T. was a Filipino rock band, formed in 1994 and officially disbanded in 2005. The band was fronted by Karl Roy who also fronted the bands Advent Call and Kapatid. The group is famous for their 1997 remake of the song "Yugyugan Na", originally performed by The Advisors in 1977. The band held a reunion concert on July 22, 2006, at The 70's Bistro in Quezon City. On 1997, Harley Alarcon left the band and was replaced by Jay Alviar who also left a year later. In 1999, Ian Umali left the band to go back to school and continue his studies.
Yano is a Filipino folk/punk rock band formed in 1993. The band members were originally composed of Dong Abay on vocals and Eric Gancio on guitar. Onie Badiang later joined them to play bass. Nowie Favila was the usual drummer but declined to join the group due to commitments with Ang Grupong Pendong. Other drummers of the band included Nonong Timbalopez, Harley Alarcon and Jun Nogoy. The band got their name when Abay looked through an entry in "Talahulugang Pilipino", an old Tagalog dictionary. "Yano" in Tagalog means "simple", a term often used by Tagalog speakers in the province of Quezon. The group disbanded in 1997 after Abay left the band. Eric Gancio reformed Yano in 2007.

The Big Bang: The Essential Collection is a compilation album by the Norwegian hard rock band TNT, released in 2003.
