The first 30 seconds teaser clip for the music video of the title track 1004 (Angel) was released on January 22, 2014. On January 26, B.A.P released their album medley and pre-released additional 30 seconds preview on Naver Music. The full version video was released on February 2, 2014 through YouTube.
On February 7, B.A.P made their first live broadcast appearance promoting the album on Music Bank. This was followed by appearance for Bang X2 and 1004 (Angel) on Music Core on February 8.

Yoo Young-jae, also known mononymously as Youngjae, is a South Korean singer and actor. He debuted as an idol in the six-member group B.A.P under TS Entertainment, where he served as the main vocalist from 2012 to its dissolution in 2019. He released his debut mini-album Fancy in April 2019.

AOA is a South Korean girl group formed by FNC Entertainment. The original 2012 eight-member line-up included: Choa, Jimin, Yuna, Youkyung, Hyejeong, Mina, Seolhyun and Dohwa. Youkyung left the group in 2016, while Choa left in 2017 due to mental health reasons, followed by Mina in 2019 to pursue her acting career, and Jimin in 2020 due to bullying allegations. The group currently consists of Seolhyun, Hyejeong and Dohwa.

It was their first album in four years, following This Is War (2009), as well as their last album released through Virgin.
"City of Angels" is a song by American rock band Thirty Seconds to Mars, featured on their fourth studio album Love, Lust, Faith and Dreams (2013). Written by lead vocalist Jared Leto, who co-produced the song with Steve Lillywhite, "City of Angels" was inspired by Leto's experience of living in Los Angeles with his family and was influenced by the city's culture. Imbued with elements of synthrock as well as music from the 1980s, the track was cited as an example of the album's variety and experimentation. It was one of the first songs to be written for Love, Lust, Faith and Dreams, but required a long period of time to record.
