Flagship is an American rock band from Charlotte, North Carolina. Formed in 2011, the group consists of Drake Margolnick (vocals, guitar), Michael Finster (drums), Matthew Padget (lead guitar, backing vocals), Chris Comfort (bass guitar), and Grant Harding (keyboards, synths).

History

The band is a combination of two earlier Charlotte acts: Campbell the Band and Margolnick's solo work. [1] In late 2011, the band signed to Bright Antenna Records. [2]

The band toured with The Wombats in spring 2012. Reviewers noted the band's "power and emotion," coupled with their songs' "dreamlike quality." [3]

On May 8, 2012 the band released their debut EP entitled blackbush available on iTunes and as a physical CD available at shows. [4]

Flagship's self-titled debut album was released on October 8, 2013. The first song off the new album "Are You Calling" was premiered in a lyric video on the website Metrolyrics on July 12, 2013. [5]

They created several EPs before releasing their first full album, Girls, Boys and Marsupials (2006), which was released only in Japan.

Swahili Blonde is an experimental musical project formed in Los Angeles, California in 2009. Founded by former WEAVE! drummer and vocalist Nicole Turley, violinist and bassist Laena Myers-Ionita, Duran Duran bassist John Taylor and multi-instrumentalists Stella Mozgawa and Michael Quinn. Red Hot Chili Peppers guitarist and Turley's now ex-husband, John Frusciante, performs guitar on the band's recordings, and did perform alongside the group at their debut performance, while he was briefly a full-time band member.

<i>Another Mans Treasure</i> 2010 studio album by Ima Robot

Another Man's Treasure is the third album by Ima Robot. It was released by Werewolf Heart Records on September 18, 2010. It was made available on iTunes, and listeners could purchase the album through the band's site, which offered several different editions and other items, including tote bags, bonus tracks and T-shirts. All orders, other than the digital download came with a downloadable copy of the band's 2006 EP Search and Destroy and four b-side tracks.

The Front Bottoms are an American rock band from Woodcliff Lake, New Jersey, formed in 2006. They are currently a duo consisting of lead vocalist and guitarist Brian Sella and drummer Mat Uychich. During live performances, they are currently accompanied by touring members, including guitarist and backing vocalist AJ Peacox, bassist and backing vocalist Natalie Newbold, and bassist, guitarist and backing vocalist Erik Kase Romero.

<i>Glitterbug</i> (album) 2015 studio album by The Wombats

Glitterbug is the third major studio album by British rock band The Wombats. The album was produced by Mark Crew alongside the band themselves, and was released on the 13th of April 2015. The first single from the album, "Your Body Is a Weapon", was released on iTunes on the 2nd of October 2013 in the United Kingdom and the 3rd of December in the United States. This was followed by "Greek Tragedy", "Give Me a Try", "Be Your Shadow" and "Emoticons". To celebrate the album's release, the Glitterbug B Sides EP was released on the same day. The album entered the UK charts at #5 and reached #2 in Australia, as well as charting at #91 in the US, becoming the band's first to appear in the Billboard 200. The band supported the album with their Glitterbug Tour 2015.

"Turn" is a song by English indie rock band, The Wombats. It was first released as a single from their fourth studio album, Beautiful People Will Ruin Your Life, on 6 December 2017. It followed the release of the album's lead single, "Lemon to a Knife Fight". The song was well received, and charted on the US Alternative Songs chart. With the album collectively, the song achieved high levels of success for the band.
