Værøy is an island municipality in Nordland county, Norway. It is part of the traditional district of Lofoten. The administrative centre of the municipality is the village of Sørland on the main island of Værøya. The other village in Værøy is Nordland. Most of the residents live in the Sørland area surrounding the main harbor. The old Værøy Lighthouse sits at the end of that harbor.

Flakstad Church is a parish church of the Church of Norway in Flakstad Municipality in Nordland county, Norway. It is located in the village of Flakstad. It is the church for the Flakstad parish which is part of the Lofoten prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Sør-Hålogaland. The red, wooden church was built in a cruciform style in 1780. The church seats about 300 people. It is the millennium site for Flakstad Municipality.

Lofoten District Court was a district court in Nordland county, Norway. The court was based in the town of Svolvær. The court existed until 2021. It served the municipalities of Flakstad, Moskenes, Vestvågøy, and Vågan which are all located in the Lofoten archipelago. Cases from this court could be appealed to Hålogaland Court of Appeal. The court was led by the chief judge Ingrid Johanne Lillevik. This court employed a chief judge, one other judge, and two prosecutors.

The village lies along the European route E10 highway, just west of the Nappstraum Tunnel which connects it to the neighboring island of Vestvågøya. In 2015, the village had a population of 208 people.

Salten og Lofoten District Court is a district court located in Nordland county, Norway. This court is based at two different courthouses which are located in Bodø and Svolvær. The court serves the Salten and Lofoten areas in the county which includes cases from 16 municipalities. The court in Bodø accepts cases from the municipalities of Beiarn, Bodø, Fauske, Gildeskål, Hamarøy, Meløy, Rødøy, Saltdal, Steigen, and Sørfold. The court in Svolvær accepts cases from the municipalities of Vågan, Vestvågøy, Flakstad, Moskenes, Værøy, and Røst. The court is subordinate to the Hålogaland Court of Appeal.

The settlement, with around 100 permanent residents, is located on the southwest coast of the island of Flakstadøya. The fishing village is considered to be one of oldest in Lofoten. The privately-owned Sund Fishery Museum is located at the harbor, as well as a mechanical workshop and mill.

Vareid is a village in Flakstad Municipality in Nordland county, Norway. The village is located on the island of Flakstadøya in the Lofoten archipelago. The village of Napp lies about 4 kilometres (2.5 mi) to the east on the same island.
