Prague is the capital and largest city in the Czech Republic, and the historical capital of Bohemia. On the Vltava river, Prague is home to about 1.3 million people. The city has a temperate oceanic climate, with relatively warm summers and chilly winters.
Václav Havel Airport Prague, formerly Prague Ruzyně International Airport, is the international airport of Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic. The airport was founded in 1937, when it replaced the Kbely Airport. It was reconstructed and extended in 1956, 1968, 1997, and 2006. In 2012, it was renamed after the last president of Czechoslovakia and the first president of the Czech Republic, Václav Havel. It is located at the edge of the Prague-Ruzyně area, next to Kněževes village, 12 km (7 mi) west of the centre of Prague and 12 km (7 mi) southeast of the city of Kladno.
The Prague Metro is the rapid transit network of Prague, Czech Republic. Founded in 1974, the system consists of three lines serving 61 stations, and is 65.2 kilometres (40.5 mi) long. The system served 589.2 million passengers in 2012, making it the fifth busiest metro system in Europe.
Waterfront station is a major intermodal public transportation facility and the main transit terminus in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. It is located on West Cordova Street in Downtown Vancouver, between Granville and Seymour Street. The station is also accessible via two other street-level entrances, one on Howe Street to the west for direct access to the Expo Line and another on Granville Street to the south for direct access to the Canada Line.
Královské Vinohrady is a cadastral district in Prague. It is so named because the area was once covered in vineyards dating from the 14th century. Vinohrady lies in the municipal and administrative districts of Prague 2, Prague 3 and Prague 10, little parts also of Prague 1 and Prague 4.
The Old Town of Prague is a medieval settlement of Prague, Czech Republic. It was separated from the outside by a semi-circular moat and wall, connected to the Vltava river at both of its ends. The moat is now covered up by the streets Revoluční, Na Příkopě, and Národní—which remain the official boundary of the cadastral community of Old Town. It is now part of Prague 1.

Anděl is a Prague Metro station on Line B. The station was built between 1977 and 1985, designed in the Soviet style, by Soviet architects and dedicated to the Czechoslovak–Soviet friendship. It was opened on 2 November 1985, as part of the inaugural section of Line B between Sokolovská and Smíchovské nádraží. The station was renamed in 1990 to Anděl, after the nearby Anděl neighborhood. At present it is one of the busiest stations on line B.
Florenc is a Prague Metro station providing the interchange between Lines B and C. It serves the city's central bus station.
Palmovka is a Prague Metro station on Line B and also a neighborhood and a street in Libeň. The western metro entrance connects the station with the tram lines; the eastern one connects the station to a bus terminal.
Českomoravská is a Prague Metro station on Line B. It was opened on 22 November 1990 as the eastern terminus of the extension from Florenc. It is under Drahobejlova street in Vysočany. Českomoravská remained a terminal station until the extension of Line B to Černý Most on 8 November 1998.
Vltavská is a Prague Metro station on Line C. The station was opened on 3 November 1984 as part of the extension from Sokolovská to Fučíkova. It is located nearby a Strossmayer Square, and there are tram stations of the same name above the station.
Dresden Hauptbahnhof is the largest passenger station in the Saxon capital of Dresden. In 1898, it replaced the Böhmischen Bahnhof of the former Saxon-Bohemian State Railway, and was designed with its formal layout as the central station of the city. The combination of a station building on an island between the tracks and a terminal station on two different levels is unique. The building is notable for its train-sheds, which are roofed with Teflon-coated glass fibre membranes. This translucent roof design, installed during the comprehensive restoration of the station at the beginning of the 21st century, allows more daylight to reach the concourses than was previously possible.
The Prague tramway network is the largest tram network in the Czech Republic, consisting of 142.4 km (88.5 mi) of track, 882 tram vehicles and 26 daytime routes, 2 historical and 10 night routes with a total route length of 518 km (322 mi). It is operated by Dopravní podnik hlavního města Prahy a.s., a company owned by the city of Prague. The network is a part of Prague Integrated Transport, the city's integrated public transport system.
Bratislava main railway station is the major railway station in Bratislava, Slovakia. It is located near Šancová Street, around 1 km or a 15 min walk north from the historical part of the Old Town.
Letňany is a metro station on Line C of the Prague Metro. It is located about one kilometre south of Letňany, on the border between Letňany and Vysočany, near a tripoint with Kbely, and it belongs to section IV.C2 of Line C, connecting Letňany with Ládví. The station was opened on 8 May 2008 as the northern end of the extension from Ládví and has served since then as the new terminus of the line.
Praha-Smíchov railway station is a major railway station in Prague, Czech Republic, located in Smíchov, in the south-west of the city. It serves as a major railway station on the Czech national rail network, and is connected to the rest of Prague by its metro station of the same name and numerous tram routes which stop on Nádražní street outside the station. It is also a major bus terminus for lines going to the south and southwest of Prague and beyond. In 2009 the station served almost 4 million people.
The Nové spojení is a series of tunnels and bridges forming an important part of the railway network in Prague, Czech Republic. The network was constructed between 2004 and 2008 and opened in 2010. It links the two central stations, Praha hlavní and Praha Masarykovo, to Libeň, Vysočany and Holešovice stations and the start of their respective mainline corridors towards Česká Třebová, Hradec Králové and Ústí nad Labem. The construction has increased the capacity of the trunk lines serving Praha hlavní nádraží, allowing more trains to terminate there. Prior to its completion, many international trains terminated at Holešovice station, due to lack of access to the centre from the northern and eastern routes. Trains are now also able to travel at speeds of up to 100 kilometres per hour (62 mph) on the tunnel sections. The construction is also part of a larger plan to improve the sections of pan-European corridors on Czech territory.
Strašnice is a cadastral district in Prague. It became part of Prague on 1 January 1922. It lies mostly in the municipal and administrative district of Prague 10 while a small part is in Prague 3. The district is bordered by Vršovice, Vinohrady, Žižkov, Malešice, Hostivař, Záběhlice and Michle.
Nádraží Veleslavín is a station on Line A of the Prague Metro. It opened on 6 April 2015, together with Bořislavka, Petřiny and Nemocnice Motol stations.
