Track cycling is a bicycle racing sport usually held on specially built banked tracks or velodromes using purpose-designed track bicycles.
A velodrome is an arena for track cycling. Modern velodromes feature steeply banked oval tracks, consisting of two 180-degree circular bends connected by two straights. The straights transition to the circular turn through a moderate easement curve.
Lee Valley VeloPark is a cycling centre in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in Stratford, London, England. It is owned and managed by Lee Valley Regional Park Authority, and it was opened to the public in March 2014. The facility was one of the permanent venues for the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
The American Speed Association (ASA) is a sanctioning body of motorsports in the United States formed in 1968. The Association was based in Pendleton, Indiana, and later in Daytona Beach, Florida. Saffron Lane sports centre is a large 8 lane 400 metre synthetic floodlight lit running track which includes a steeplechase water jump, in Leicester, England. It is home to the city's top two athletics clubs, the sprint and field specialists Leicester Coritanian A.C. and the middle and long distance specialists, OWLS AC Leicester. Other athletics squads train at the track, namely Leicester Walking Club, some members of University of Leicester athletics team among other local running clubs.
The North Star Bicycle Festival, is a ten-day series of cycling events that take place at sites around central Minnesota. The festival has gone by multiple names since its creation in 1999 as Tour de Wings. It was known as the Great River Energy Bicycle Festival for 2000–2008, the Minnesota Bicycle Festival in 2009, and the Nature Valley Bicycle Festival for 2010–2013.. It is currently known as the North Star Bicycle Festival.
The SIT Zero Fees Velodrome, previously known as the ILT Velodrome and also known as the Invercargill Velodrome, is an indoor velodrome located in Surrey Park, Invercargill, Southland, New Zealand. It is next door to the ILT Stadium Southland and is part of the same complex. It is the main home venue of Cycling Southland and it serves as a training facility for three Invercargill sporting franchises – Southland Stags, Southland Sharks and Southern Steel. The velodrome was originally opened in 2006. The venue is owned by Southland Indoor Leisure Centre Charitable Trust. Invercargill Licensing Trust previously held the naming rights. Since 2013, they have been held by the Southern Institute of Technology.

One of only three indoor bicycle racing tracks in Canada, the Burnaby Velodrome is located in Burnaby, British Columbia. It is operated by the non-profit Burnaby Velodrome Club (BVC), and is an affiliated member of Cycling British Columbia. The track is located inside the Harry Jerome Sports Centre, which is also used by Volleyball BC for game play and administration purposes.

Mandy Marquardt is an American female Sprint track cyclist, representing the United States and Team Novo Nordisk, the world's first-all diabetes professional cycling team. Marquardt was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 16. Marquardt is an 27-time U.S National Champion, 4-time U.S National Record Holder in the Standing 500m Time Trial, Standing 1km Time Trial, Team Sprint (2-rider) and Team Sprint (3-rider).
The Preston Park Velodrome is an outdoor velodrome in the north-east corner of Preston Park in Brighton, United Kingdom. It is the oldest velodrome in the United Kingdom having been opened on 30 May 1887. It is also thought to be the oldest, working velodrome in the world that still uses its original track design. The only known older working velodrome is the Andreasried Velodrome in Erfurt, Germany which originally opened in 1885 but was later reconfigured from 333m to 250m in 2006-07.
Cycling at the 2022 Commonwealth Games was held between 29 July and 7 August 2022 at four different venues. There were 26 events altogether in cycling, making the sport third-highestt in terms of number of medals available. There were 20 events in track cycling, two in mountain biking, two in road time trials and two in road racing.
