Florin Andronescu (born 26 April 1957, Bucharest) is a businessperson from Romania, who has been involved with the companies Flanco and Credisson [1] from the sale of which he obtained around 20 million euros. [2] He also developed the network of Sanador clinics. [3] [4]

The mixed project includes, in addition to the shopping area, a park, event rooms, offices, a health center, a cinema and over 4,000 parking spaces. A member of the Social Democratic Party (PSD), she sat in the Romanian Chamber of Deputies from 1996 to 2008, representing Bucharest, and was a Senator from 2008 until 2020, for the same city. In the Adrian Năstase cabinet, she was Education Minister from 2000 until June 2003. She held the same position in the cabinet of Emil Boc from 2008 to 2009, in the Victor Ponta cabinet during 2012, and finally in the Viorica Dăncilă cabinet for under 9 months between November 2018 and August 2019. The next Romanian legislative elections must be held at the latest before 21 March 2025, that is three months after the term of the incumbent legislature of the Romanian Parliament expires.

A political crisis began on 1 September 2021 in Romania, engulfing both major coalition partners of the Cîțu Cabinet, namely the conservative-liberal National Liberal Party (PNL) and the progressive-liberal Save Romania Union (USR). The crisis also involved former prime minister Ludovic Orban (PNL), who was set to face Prime Minister Florin Cîțu (PNL) in a leadership election during the party congress on 25 September, with the latter eventually replacing the former. Orban would eventually resign from his position as President of the Chamber of Deputies, with him and his supporters subsequently splitting from the PNL, in order to form the Force of the Right (FD).
