Fly Hellas (formerly Viking Hellas Airlines) was a privately owned charter airline. Its main base is Athens International Airport. [2]
In October 2009 Viking Hellas was created and awarded their air operators certificate by the Hellenic CAA.
On 1 February 2010 operations commenced with a single McDonnell Douglas MD-83 undertaking scheduled and charter flights throughout Europe. An order for two Airbus A320-200's was announced quickly thereafter.
In October 2010, its parent Viking Airlines ceased operations, attempting to resume operations in March 2011. This did not happen. During this time, in February 2011 Viking Hellas announced that it will be re-branded as FlyHellas to distance itself from the Viking Airlines A.B group. The airline officially changed its name to Fly Hellas on 1 May 2011. The airline also announced that it would close its base at Gatwick Airport, however they would open a base at Manchester Airport.
On 2 November 2011, Fly Hellas announced due to financial difficulties, they were to stop all flights for November 2011, hoping to return in December. On 5 December, it was announced that Fly Hellas would not be restarting flights and ceased all operations permanately, as well as going into administration. All 4 aircraft have been returned to their lessors. [3]

Monarch Airlines, also known as Monarch, was a British charter and scheduled airline founded by Bill Hodgson and Don Peacock and financed by the Swiss Sergio Mantegazza family. The company later became a low-cost airline in 2004 before abandoning charter flying completely. The airline's headquarters were at Luton, and it had operating bases at Birmingham, Leeds/Bradford, Gatwick and Manchester.
Adria Airways d.o.o. was the flag carrier of Slovenia, operating scheduled and charter services to European destinations. The company's head office was at Ljubljana Jože Pučnik Airport in Zgornji Brnik, Cerklje na Gorenjskem, near Ljubljana. On 30 September 2019, the airline declared bankruptcy and ceased all operations.
Meridiana Fly S.p.A., operating as Meridiana, was a privately owned Italian airline headquartered in Olbia with its main base at Olbia Costa Smeralda Airport. It operated scheduled and charter flights to domestic, European and intercontinental destinations from several Italian bases. Some of its operations were carried out by the old Air Italy under the Meridiana brand. It was owned by Qatar Airways through AQA Holding (49%) and Alisarda S.p.A. (51%), who rebranded the airline as the new Air Italy effective 1 March 2018.

Eurocypria Airlines Limited was a charter airline with its head office in the Artemis Building in Larnaca, Cyprus, owned by the government of Cyprus, operating mostly chartered flights. Its main base was Larnaca International Airport, with a secondary base at Paphos International Airport. On 4 November 2010 it was announced that the airline would file for bankruptcy and cease all flights by 13 November. All flights were suspended by decision of the Board of Directors on 4 November 2010.
Hellas Jet was a charter airline based in Athens, Greece, operating services to Greece from destinations in Europe. Its main base was Athens International Airport. Hellas Jet was a licensed scheduled and charter carrier, holding a JAA AOC and a Line Maintenance Certificate under JAA/EASA Part 145, both approved by the Hellenic Civil Aviation Authority. It ceased operations in 2010 due to economic difficulties. The repossession of two of their Airbus A320 aircraft, 87 and 88, was documented on Discovery channel TV programme Airplane Repo. The company slogan was More than a flight.

Orbest Orizonia Airlines, S.A., formerly Iberworld Airlines, S.A., was an airline with its head office in the Edificio Orizionia Corporación in Palma de Mallorca, Spain. It operated regular and charter flights to destinations in Europe and the Caribbean, scheduled domestic services, and scheduled international services to Havana. In its 14-year history, Orbest Orizonia flew to four continents and operated routes to over 30 countries. Its main base was Palma de Mallorca Airport. Orbest Orizonia was the air division of the Orizonia Group, Spain's third largest tour operator.
Nova Airlines AB, operating as Novair, is a Swedish airline headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden that operates on behalf of one of Sweden's largest travel agencies, Apollo, which is also the parent company. It operates charter flights mainly to the Mediterranean and the Canary Islands. In the past it also operated long-haul flights to destinations including Thailand, India, and Indonesia as well as the Caribbean. Its main base and hub of operations is Stockholm Arlanda Airport, but the airline also operates from Oslo Airport, Copenhagen Airport, Gothenburg Landvetter Airport and Billund Airport.
