Forever Eden is an American reality television series broadcast by the Fox Broadcasting Company (Fox). The series premiered on March 1, 2004, and it concluded on April 9, 2004. The contestants in the series could live in a resort not for weeks or months, but for years. It was hosted by Ruth England. In the end, contestants Shawna and Wallace won a combined total of $260,000. Brooke and Adam were runners-up.

The show was pulled after seven episodes, leaving eighteen episodes unaired. The remaining episodes were eventually screened in the United States on Fox Reality.

Format

Set in Jamaica, the series followed a group of unmarried men and women who lived together at a luxury resort. The contestants, who voluntarily agreed to cease contact with their friends and family, had the opportunity to live at and enjoy the amenities of the resort indefinitely. Contestants accrued a monetary reward pursuant to however long they resided at the resort. This reward, however, was contingent on the contestants remaining at the resort for predetermined periods of time. Contestants had the ability to leave the series at anytime, however, they would no longer receive the reward if they opted to leave. As the series progressed, producers introduced new contestants and guest stars, which included former partners and long-lost relatives of the contestants. The series was hosted by English television presenter Ruth England.

The concept for the series stemmed from the reality television series Paradise Hotel . [1]

The series was filmed in Jamaica at a cost of $750,000 per episode. [2]

Getzlaff and the mates participated in one-on-one dates and group activities, with Getzlaff eliminating three mates from the competition in each episode. However, in the fourth episode, it was revealed to Getzlaff that the mates actually consisted of both gay and straight men. If the final mate in the competition was a gay man, he would win a $25,000 reward and a vacation to New Zealand with Getzlaff. The series premiered on March 12, 2004, although it was prematurely cancelled by the network following the broadcast of its third episode on March 26, 2004. Set at the Sizzling Saddle Ranch in Elko, Nevada, the series depicted fourteen men who attempted to pursue a romantic relationship with college student Jackie Thomas. When Women Rule the World is an American reality television series. Filmed on Mana Island, the series depicted a competition among a group of twelve chauvinistic men who were required to be subservient to a group of ten strong-minded women. The men were tasked with building shelter and locating survival supplies, in addition to obeying any commands of the women. The women voted to eliminate a contestant at the end of each episode, with the final contestant receiving a reward of $250,000. When Women Rule the World was originally planned for broadcast in 2007 by the Fox Broadcasting Company (Fox); however, after a series of delays, it was cancelled by the network. The series was eventually broadcast in Belgium and Finland in 2010. The series was hosted by English television personality Judi Shekoni.

It is part of the Masked Singer franchise which began in South Korea and features celebrities singing songs while wearing head-to-toe costumes and face masks concealing their identities. Hosted by Nick Cannon, the program employs panelists who guess the celebrities' identities by interpreting clues provided to them throughout each season. Ken Jeong, Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg, Nicole Scherzinger, and Robin Thicke appear in each episode and vote alongside an audience for their favorite singer after all performances have concluded. The least popular is eliminated, taking off their mask to reveal their identity.
