Forsyth County is a county in the Northeast portion of the U.S. state of Georgia. Suburban and exurban in character, Forsyth County lies within the Atlanta Metropolitan Area. The county's only incorporated city and county seat is Cumming. At the 2020 census, the population was 251,283. Forsyth was the fastest-growing county in Georgia and the 15th fastest-growing county in the United States between 2010 and 2019.
Cumming is a city in Forsyth County, Georgia, United States, and the sole incorporated area in the county. It is a suburban city, and part of the Atlanta metropolitan area. In the 2020 census, the population is 7,318, up from 5,430 in 2010. Surrounding unincorporated areas with a Cumming mailing address have a population of approximately 100,000. Cumming is the county seat of Forsyth County.
Warner Robins is a city in Houston and Peach counties in the U.S. state of Georgia. It is currently the state's eleventh-largest incorporated city, with a population of 80,308 in the 2020 census.
Georgia State Route 400 is a freeway and state highway in the U.S. state of Georgia serving parts of Metro Atlanta. It is concurrent with U.S. Route 19 (US 19) from exit 4 (Interstate 285) until its northern terminus south-southeast of Dahlonega, linking the city of Atlanta to its north-central suburbs and exurbs. SR 400 travels from the Lindbergh neighborhood in the Buckhead district of Atlanta, at Interstate 85 (I-85), to just south-southeast of Dahlonega. Like the Interstate highways, it is a limited-access road, but unlike the interstates, the exit numbers are not mileage-based, they are sequential. Once SR 400 passes exit 18 (SR 369), it changes from a limited-access freeway into an at-grade divided highway with traffic lights, but still with a high speed limit of 65 miles per hour (105 km/h), and ends at the J.B. Jones Intersection at SR 60/SR 115 in Lumpkin County.
Lake Lanier is a reservoir in the northern portion of the U.S. state of Georgia. It was created by the completion of Buford Dam on the Chattahoochee River in 1956, and is also fed by the waters of the Chestatee River. The lake encompasses 38,000 acres (15,000 ha) or 59 sq mi (150 km2) of water, and 692 mi (1,114 km) of shoreline at normal level, a "full pool" of 1,071 ft (326 m) above mean sea level and the exact shoreline varies by resolution according to the coastline paradox. Named for Confederate poet Sidney Lanier, it was built and is operated by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for flood control and water supplies. Its construction destroyed more than 50,000 acres (20,000 ha) of farmland and displaced more than 250 families, 15 businesses, and relocated 20 cemeteries along with their remains in the process.

It is one of eight public high schools in the Forsyth County School District, and serves students who live in parts of unincorporated Cumming. In 2023, South Forsyth High School was ranked #276 on US News' "Best High Schools Ranking". The school has been given an "A" rating and Platinum status by the Governor's Office of Student Achievement for more than five years. South Forsyth High School has offered the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme and the Career-Related Programme since 2000 and 2012, respectively.

FCS serves over 51,000 students and is the largest employer in the county with over 8,000 full-time employees and substitutes. Out of 180 school districts, FCS is the seventh largest school system in Georgia.
Lambert High School is a public high school in Suwanee, in Forsyth County, Georgia, United States. It is the one of eight high schools in the Forsyth County School District. The school has an annual enrollment of about 3,000 students. Most students who attend Lambert reside in southern Forsyth County, an affluent area located between Johns Creek, Suwanee, and Cumming. Lambert was built to alleviate over-crowding at South Forsyth High School, which is located 3.8 miles away on Peachtree Parkway.
Forsyth Central High School is a public high school located in Cumming, Georgia, United States, northeast of Atlanta. Built in 1955, it was originally known as Forsyth County High School until 1989 when South Forsyth High School opened. It is one of eight high schools in the Forsyth County School District.

Sawnee Mountain is a low mountain between the piedmont and Appalachian foothills of the U.S. state of Georgia, north of Atlanta. Average rainfall/46.26in/yr/ average snowfall/5.7in/yr/. The name Sawnee Mountain actually refers to the entire ridge of approximately five miles (8 km) in length. At its summit, the elevation is 1,946 feet (593 m) above mean sea level, and is roughly 750 feet (230 m) above the surrounding terrain. The Sawnee Mountain range runs southwest to northeast, and consists of five knolls and three gaps. Located only a few miles north of Cumming, Georgia, the mountain is the highest point in Forsyth county at 1,946 ft above sea level. One of the highest peaks of metro Atlanta, it is taller than its more well-known neighbors Stone Mountain and Kennesaw Mountain by 260 ft and 138 ft respectively. Compared to other mountains in the area, however, Sawnee Mountain sits behind Bear Mountain and Pine Log Mountain, both in neighboring Cherokee County to the west.
In Forsyth County, Georgia, in September 1912, two separate alleged attacks on white women in the Cumming area resulted in black men being accused as suspects. First, a white woman reportedly awoke to find a black man in her bedroom; then days later, a white teenage girl was beaten and raped, later dying of her injuries.

Andrew Thacker is an American football coach. He was most recently the safeties coach at the Georgia Institute of Technology. After a standout high school career at North Forsyth High School in Cumming, Georgia and Gainesville High School in Gainesville, Georgia, Thacker attended and played college football at Furman University (2004–2007), where he was a three-year starter at safety. Thacker was the Southern Conference's Freshman of the Year in 2004 and went 35–15 during his time as a Paladin.
East Forsyth High School is a newly constructed high school in northeastern Forsyth County, Georgia. Forsyth County Schools District hosted the grand opening of East Forsyth High School on July 14, 2021, at 10:30 am. The high school was built to relieve overcrowding in the district's North Forsyth High School and Forsyth Central High School. The school has been in development for more than a decade as of 2019. Forsyth County Schools officially broke ground on the project on May 21, 2018, tweeting "What a beautiful day for the groundbreaking ceremony at East Forsyth HS! Our 7th traditional high school is projected to open fall 2021."
