Fortune And Maltese are an American garage rock band from Detroit, Michigan, formed in 1993 in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
One of the early groups to define the Garage Rock revival in Detroit and the United States, [2] [3] Fortune & Maltese (a/k/a Fortune and Maltese and The Phabulous Pallbearers) are a five-piece Detroit-based garage band. [4] [5] Formed in 1993 in Kalamazoo & Ann Arbor, MI by Michael Maltese, Freddy Fortune, Nat Cromlech, Dusty Sexton and J.C. Graves, they have toured The United States, Europe and Canada with their particular brand of 1960s-influenced music [6] [7] [8] and have been featured in the films "It Came From Detroit" [9] and on the soundtrack to the Russ Meyer-homage "Pervert ". [10]
In November 2010 Fortune and Maltese were named "No. 35" in their "Detroit's Greatest Hits That Should Have Been" list with their single "Leave No Stone Unturned" / "Time Has Gone" (Get Hip) 1997. [11]
In 2013 Freddy Fortune and Michael Maltese appeared with other Detroit musicians as Benedict Arnold & The Traitors to play in San Diego with Paul Revere & the Raiders front man Mark Lindsay at the Ugly Things Magazines 30th Anniversary Celebration [12]

Pebbles is a compilation of US underground and garage single record releases from the mid- to late-1960s. It had a limited original release in 1978 and a more general release in 1979. It was followed by several subsequent Pebbles compilations and albums. This album is nowadays known as Pebbles, Volume 1 and was originally issued in 1978 as Pebbles, Volume One: Artyfacts from the First Punk Era, an obvious riff on Nuggets: Original Artyfacts from the First Psychedelic Era, a similar, groundbreaking compilation from 1972.

The Underdogs were an American garage rock band from Grosse Pointe, Michigan who were active in the 1960s. They became a regular attraction at the Hideout, a club that was an early venue for acts such as Bob Seger, Glenn Frey, and The Pleasure Seekers, featuring Suzi Quatro, and it also served as the home to the Hideout record label, which released several of the Underdogs' singles. The group enjoyed success in the region and came close to breaking nationally with two records released though a joint deal on Reprise Records and then their last on Motown. The Underdogs' work has been included on various garage rock compilations such as the 1998 Nuggets 4-CD box set released on Rhino Records.
The Dagenites were an American garage rock a band from Oxon Hill, Maryland near Washington, DC, who were active in the 1960s. They shared management and frequent billing with noted guitarist and performer Link Wray. In recent years their work has become highly regarded amongst garage rock enthusiasts and collectors and has been included on several compilations. The Dagenites are especially known for their proto-punk anthems, "I Don't Want to Try it Again" and "I'm Gone Slide", both of which have been mentioned as garage rock classics.
