The Fosbery Pump Shotgun was a prototype pump-action shotgun designed in 1891 by George Fosbery chambered in 16 Gauge Shotgun shell. [1] [2] [3] The Fosbery Pump Shotgun was the first to use a multi-lug rotating bolt mechanism predating what would later be used on the M1941 Johnson machine gun, ArmaLite AR-10 and other guns.
