Foursome (promoted as Playboy's Foursome) is an adult reality dating series, which ran for five seasons on Playboy TV.
Based on similar reality dating game shows of the early 2000s like Blind Date and The 5th Wheel , Foursome gathers four singles, two men and two women, and bases them in a Los Angeles (and, in some later episodes, New York City or Miami) mansion for 24 hours. Throughout the experience daters are introduced, profiled, and made to participate in erotic activities both in the mansion and off-site.
Playmates and models generally instigate the first round sexually-oriented party games, followed by "field trips" to Hollywood clubs, massage parlors, or trendy bars. What transpires between the participants varies depending on factors such as chemistry. In some episodes, they may engage in one or more sexual encounters; in others, they may go to bed separately without doing so; occasionally, a participant may be so dissatisfied that he or she leaves the mansion early. Participants also occasionally "hook up" with the facilitators of the various activities in lieu of or in addition to their fellow residents.

In 2008, Foursome returned for a second season, featuring a new mansion and slightly updated format. In some episodes, facilitators and other special guests end up having sex with participants, leading to friction among some daters.
In September 2009, Playboy TV premiered a third season of the series, [3] with cameras going to homes in Las Vegas, San Francisco, and Miami.
In September 2010, Playboy TV announced the fourth season [4] of the series which takes place in New York City, and Los Angeles. A fifth season aired in 2011.
Beginning in the second season, the level of sexual explicitness increased in the series, with penetration and other sexual acts shown uncensored. As noted below, this resulted in the DVD release of Season 2 being edited to remove such content.
As of spring 2010, season 1 has been released to DVD in region 1 over two volumes, with a single-volume Season 2 release. The second season DVD is censored to remove explicit footage from the original broadcasts.
This spinoff goes back to the original series with guest star comedians giving their insights to the ongoings in the show. This series ran for two seasons from February 2, 2013 until April 19, 2014.

Human matchmaking is involved only in selecting the game's contestants, who are usually selected more for the amusement value than any concern for their happiness or compatibility. The audience sees only the game; an important feature of all dating game shows is that the contestants have little or no previous knowledge of each other, and are exposed to each other only through the game, which may include viewing a photograph or at least knowing the basic criteria for participation.

The series was created by executive producer Kevin Burns and Hefner, founder of Playboy magazine. The series premiered on the E! cable network on August 7, 2005 and ran for 6 seasons. The first five seasons centered around then-girlfriends, Holly Madison, Bridget Marquardt and Kendra Wilkinson. The sixth and final season premiered on October 11, 2009 and introduced Hefner's new girlfriends, Crystal Harris, who eventually went on to marry Hefner, and twins Kristina and Karissa Shannon.

It created a reality TV-show format where contestants live in an isolated house, and try to avoid being evicted by viewers to win a prize at the end. The original Dutch version of the show was initially aired from 1999 to 2006 for six regular seasons, and two celebrity editions. Many international versions have also been developed following the same structure. A Shot at Love with Tila Tequila is an American reality television dating game show similar to the TV show The Bachelor. It premiered on October 9, 2007 on MTV starring Tila Tequila. The series consists of a bisexual-themed reality dating show where 16 heterosexual male men and 16 lesbian female women contestants live in Tequila's house and compete for her attention and affection. The contestants were not aware of Tequila's bisexuality until the end of the first episode, after ten contestants had been eliminated. The remaining contestants, both male and female, then shared the same home for the remainder of the series. A Shot at Love II premiered on April 22, 2008.
Rock of Love with Bret Michaels is an American reality television dating game show. It stars Bret Michaels, the lead singer from the band Poison. The show closely resembles the show Flavor of Love. The first season featured 25 women competing to be Michaels' girlfriend. Each week, the women face challenges, the winner of which gets to go on a date with Michaels. Some of the challenges were based on situations that they might encounter if chosen to be Michaels' girlfriend. The first season winner was 24-year-old Jes Rickleff from Naperville, Illinois. At the reunion, she revealed that she did not have romantic feelings for Michaels, and that she thought that he should have chosen the runner-up, Heather.
Survivor: Borneo, originally known simply as Survivor or Survivor: Pulau Tiga, is the first season of the American CBS competitive reality television series Survivor. The show was filmed from March 13 through April 20, 2000, and premiered on May 31, 2000. The season started with 16 participants tasked with being left to survive in a remote area in Borneo, Malaysia, with minimal tools and supplies. Hosted by Jeff Probst, it consisted of 39 days with consecutive participants being removed by a majority vote. The series was set in the South China Sea on the remote Malaysian island of Pulau Tiga in the state of Sabah, about six miles (10 km) off the north coast of Borneo.

Chains of Love is an American dating game show that aired for six episodes in April–May 2001 on the United Paramount Network (UPN). Adapted from a Dutch television series, it revolves around a man or woman being chained to four members of the opposite sex over four days and nights. This person, identified as the "Picker", is given $10,000 and can remove three contestants one at a time. The Picker can give a portion of the money to each eliminated participant. When left with a single partner, the Picker can choose to either split the money or keep it. American television personality Madison Michele hosted each episode.
Love Is Blind is a reality television series on Netflix created by Chris Coelen and produced by Kinetic Content that premiered on February 13, 2020. The show promotes itself as a social experiment where single men and women look for love and get engaged, all before meeting in person.
