Fran (given name)

Fran is a Spanish, Italian, Croatian and Albanian male name or a common short form of the English names Frances and Francis. The Spanish and Italian Fran is more common for men, while the English name is mostly used for women. While the Croatian and Albanian Fran is used as a proper name only for men, in moder times Slovene the name Fran is used mostly as a short form of the names Frančiška or Frančišek.
