Francesco Bettella (born 23 March 1989) is an Italian Paralympic swimmer. [1] He represented Italy at the Summer Paralympics in 2012, 2016, 2020 and 2024.
In 2016, he won two medals: the silver medal both in the men's 50 metre backstroke S1 event and in the men's 100 metre backstroke S1 event. [1] [2] He won two bronze medals at the 2020 Summer Paralympics.
He won the bronze medal in the men's 50 metres backstroke S2 at the 2018 World Para Swimming European Championships held in Dublin, Ireland. [3]
Matthew John Cowdrey is an Australian politician and Paralympic swimmer. He presently holds numerous world records. He has a congenital amputation of his left arm; it stops just below the elbow. Cowdrey competed at the 2004 Paralympic Games, 2006 Commonwealth Games, 2008 Paralympic Games, 2010 Commonwealth Games, and the 2012 Paralympic Games. After the 2012 London Games, he is the most successful Australian Paralympian, having won thirteen Paralympic gold medals and twenty three Paralympic medals in total. On 10 February 2015, Cowdrey announced his retirement from swimming.
Yip Pin Xiu is a Singaporean backstroke swimmer. She is a six-time Paralympic gold medalist and four-time World Champion, with two world records in the 50 m backstroke S2 and the 100 m backstroke S2. Yip is Singapore's most decorated Paralympian and Southeast Asia's most decorated swimming Paralympian.
Brenden Hall, is an Australian Paralympic swimmer who won two gold medals at the 2012 Summer Paralympics in London. At the 2016 Rio Paralympics, he won one gold, one silver and one bronze medal. He was selected to compete at the 2024 Summer Paralympics, his fifth games, where he won a bronze medal.

The 2014 IPC Swimming European Championships was an international swimming competition held in Eindhoven, the Netherlands, from the 4th to the 10th of August. Around 375 athletes from 35 different countries attended. The venue, the Pieter van den Hoogenband Swimming Stadium, also held the 2010 IPC Swimming World Championships.

He also won the bronze medal in the men's 50 metre freestyle S6 event at the 2022 World Para Swimming Championships held in Madeira.
Wojciech Makowski is a Polish Paralympic swimmer. He represented Poland at the 2016 Summer Paralympics held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and he won the silver medal in the men's 100 metre backstroke S11 event. He also competed at the 2020 Summer Paralympics held in Tokyo, Japan.
Jonas Larsen is a Danish Paralympic swimmer. He represented Denmark at the 2012 Summer Paralympics and at the 2016 Summer Paralympics and he won the bronze medal in the men's 150 metre individual medley SM4 event in 2016.
Talisson Henrique Glock is a Brazilian Paralympic swimmer. He represented Brazil at the Summer Paralympics in 2016, 2021 and in 2024. In total, he won one gold medal, one silver medal and five bronze medals.

Mohammad Abbas Karimi is a swimmer, who came second in the S5 50 meter butterfly event at the 2017 World Para Swimming Championships, making him the first refugee athlete to win a medal at that competition. He came eighth in the 50 meter butterfly S5 event for the Refugee Paralympic Team at the 2020 Summer Paralympics.
Iyad Shalabi is an Arab-Israeli Paralympic champion swimmer. Representing Israel at the 2020 Summer Paralympics in 2021 in Tokyo, Japan, Shalabi won two gold medals in swimming.
