He was succeeded by his grandson,also Francis,who served as Member of Parliament for Bramber,Sussex between 1713 and 1715. The latter's son,Francis,the third Baron,was Governor of Antigua. The titles became extinct on the death of the fourth Baron in 1790.

Penitent Magdalene is a 16th-century oil on canvas painting by Italian Baroque painter Caravaggio. The painting portrays a repentant Mary Magdalene,bowed over in penitent sorrow as she leaves behind her dissolute life,its trappings abandoned beside her. At the time of its completion,ca. 1594–1595,the painting was unconventional for its contemporary realism and departure from traditional Magdalene iconography. It has invited both criticism and praise,with speculation even into the 21st century as to Caravaggio's intentions. The work hangs in the Doria Pamphilj Gallery in Rome.
The Zachariah Curtiss House is located at 2950 Nichols Avenue on the east side of the Farm Highway or Route 108 on the south side of Mischa Hill,in the village of Nichols in Trumbull,Connecticut in New England. The house was built by Zachariah II between 1721 and 1746 in the Georgian architectural style. The Colonial American wooden post-and-beam timber frame farm house has a one and one-half story ell added in 1800.
