Francis John Patrick Vicente [1] is a Filipino volleyball coach. He was the head coach of the Philippines women's national volleyball team in 2017. He also mentored the women's collegiate team of the National University Bulldogs 2010 - 2013 and University of the East Warriors from 2014 - 2018 and the Philips Gold Lady Slammers and Generika Lifesavers volleyball club of the Philippine Super Liga.
He has also coached the Philippine Super Liga All-Stars team which participated at the 2017 Asian Women's Club Volleyball Championship.
Vicente started as a volunteer assistant coach from 1991-1993 and later on given a full pledge appointment as assistant coach to Coach August Saint Maria. Vicente was appointed as the head coach of the girls' team of the University of Santo Tomas High School which won straight titles in the UAAP juniors under his helm. [2]
He mentored the National University women's team to the Final Four campaign in the 2012–13 season of the UAAP. He later went on to become the Head Coach of Mane 'n Tail Lady Stallions that changed their name to Philips Gold Lady Slammers that won bronze medal (all Filipino and Reinforce Conference). In May 2014, he was appointed as head coach of the women's team of the University of the East (UE) until 2018. [3] [4] In 2018, Francis Vicente was called upon by a Volleyball official to Head a Women's National Team abroad to participate in the Micronesian Olympic Games in YAP. His National team received Silver Medal finish after 48 years.
Vicente has coached various teams at the Philippine Super Liga. In 2015, Vicente led the Mane 'n Tail Lady Stallions which later on became Philips Gold Lady Slammers. [5] Several years later he guided the Generika Lifesavers to a fifth place finish at the 2016 PSL Grand Prix Conference.
The PLDT HOME TVolution team that participated at the 2014 Asian Men's Club Volleyball Championship was coached by Vicente. [3] In May 2017, Vicente was appointed head coach of the Philippine Super Liga selection team which participated at the 2017 Asian Women's Club Volleyball Championship under the name "Rebisco PSL Manila". [6] 2018 Vicente was called upon to act as Head Coach for a Women's National Team abroad (RMI Women's National Volleyball Team)
Vicente has mentored the youth team of the Philippines. [3] In January 2017, he was officially appointed by the Larong Volleyball sa Pilipinas as the head coach of the Philippines women's senior national volleyball team. He was among the 23 coaches who were vying for the position. [2]
In the year 1991-2010 Vicente was working at the University of Santo Tomas as an assistant professor and 2009-2010 he served as the Institute of Physical Education and Athletics Moderator. [1]
The UE Red Warriors, Lady Warriors, Junior Warriors and Lady Junior Warriors are the collegiate men's and women's, and high school men's and women's, respectively, varsity teams of the University of the East (UE) that play in the University Athletic Association of the Philippines.
Michele Theresa Imperial Gumabao is a Filipino volleyball player and beauty pageant titleholder. She is currently signed to the Creamline Cool Smashers of the Premier Volleyball League (PVL), and has previously played for teams in the Philippine Super Liga (PSL). She was named "Best opposite spiker" seven times in her professional career and was the Finals MVP in the 2016 Shakey's V-League Reinforced Conference.
The AirAsia Flying Spikers were a professional women's volleyball team that played in the 2014 All-Filipino Conference of the Philippine Super Liga (PSL). The team was owned by AirAsia Philippines and disbanded after the tournament. For the following conference, the coaching staff and players went on to form the first iteration of the Generika Lifesavers.
Abigail "Aby" Palmares Maraño is a Filipino professional volleyball player who plays for Chery Tiggo Crossovers in the Premier Volleyball League.
Rachel Anne Lopez Daquis is a Filipino volleyball player. She graduated from the Far Eastern University where she took up Business Management. She was also the team captain of the PLDT HOME TVolution women's team that played in the 2014 Asian Women's Club Volleyball Championship. She is a former team captain of the FEU Lady Tamaraws in her collegiate years, where she was given the title "Queen Tamaraw". She played in the Philippine Super Liga (PSL) with the Cignal HD Spikers and is the PSL's brand ambassador for 2018 to 2019. In 2021, Cignal transferred to the Premier Volleyball League.
The 2014 PSL Grand Prix was the second tournament of the Philippine Super Liga for its 2014 season. The tournament ran from October 18, 2014 to November 30, 2014. The tournament's major sponsor was Asics. FIVB Referees Commission director Mohammed Hassan was the guest of honor of the opening ceremony held in Smart-Araneta Coliseum.
The Generika Ayala Lifesavers were a professional women's volleyball team owned by Actimed, Inc. in partnership with Ayala Corporation.
The 2015 PLDT Home Ultera PSL All-Filipino was the first conference of the Philippine Super Liga for its third season. The conference began on March 21, 2015 at the Mall of Asia Arena and ended on May 14, 2015 at the Cuneta Astrodome.

Rhea Katrina Karla Dimaculangan-Villarete is a Filipino professional indoor volleyball athlete, and a former member of the Philippines women national volleyball team. She was named the UAAP Season 77 Rookie of the Year alongside Ennajie Laure. She also bagged the Best Libero award in the 2016 South East Asian Junior Women's Volleyball Championships in Sisaket, Thailand.
Mary Anne "Mean" Mendrez is a Filipino volleyball player, currently the outside hitter and middle blocker for the Choco Mucho Flying Titans. From 2016 to 2021, she was the outside spiker for the UE Lady Warriors volleyball team of the University Athletic Association of the Philippines, where in 2018 she was awarded as the PSL Collegiate Grand Slam Second Best Outside Spiker.
