Franz Dereani (born 10 September 1875, date of death unknown) was an Austrian fencer. [1] He competed in the individual foil and sabre events at the 1912 Summer Olympics. [2]

The men's 100 metre freestyle was one of the four swimming events on the Swimming at the 1896 Summer Olympics programme. The 100 metre freestyle race was the first of the swimming events. Ten swimmers entered the race. The two competitors from Austria-Hungary finished in the top two places, though no record distinguishes the places of the other eight competitors. Alfréd Hajós of Hungary beat Otto Herschmann of Austria by about half a metre, with the other swimmers far behind. Franz Heinzer is a former alpine ski racer, who specialized in downhill. He was World Cup champion in downhill three consecutive seasons, second only to Franz Klammer. He won a total of 15 World Cup downhill races, fourth behind Klammer (25), Peter Müller (19) and Stephan Eberharter (18). Together with Franz Klammer, Toni Sailer, Jean Claude Killy, Karl Schranz and Stephan Eberharter, he is considered among the best downhill racers of all time.
