Freak Recordings

Freak Recordings is a UK-based drum and bass record label, owned and run by Dylan Hisley, which deals predominantly in heavier subgenres of drum and bass. [1] It is affiliated with labels Obscene Recordings [2] and Tech Itch Recordings, [3] with the latter of whom it has formed a sub-label, Tech Freak Recordings, dedicated to the release of full-length albums. Artists include Dylan, Robyn Chaos, Audio, Limewax, Current Value, Counterstrike, Technical Itch, SPL, Basic Operations, Zardonic, Hedj, Forbidden Society, Kitech, Kantyze, [4] and many more. Freak Recordings is also the co-founding company behind Therapy Sessions drum and bass festivals.

Mark Pember, also known as Meat Katie, is an English electronic musician. He creates music making hybrid sounds by combining several genres of music; tech-funk, techno, tribal, hip hop, breakbeat and house music. Several of his releases appeared on Kingsize Records during the late nineties and early 2000s. He currently owns, manages and records for the label LOT49 along with Dylan Rhymes. The label's artists include Dopamine, Kid Blue, Vandal, Odissi, Elite Force, and Lee Coombs. Meat Katie was awarded the Outstanding Contribution to Breakbeat award at the 2006 Breakspoll awards.

Maxim Anokhin, known by his stage name Limewax is a Ukrainian drum and bass music producer and DJ from Kamianets-Podilskyi, Ukraine. His style is described as inspired by harsher sounds of hardstep and darkstep; however, he is most recognizable as a Skullstep artist. He has collaborated with artists such as The Panacea, Current Value, Donny, Proket, and Dylan.

The Prototypes is a British drum and bass project by producer Nick White. Until May 2023, it was a duo alongside fellow producer Chris Garvey. Founded in Brighton, England, in the late 2000s, by 2010 they had released their first singles on labels such as Formation Records and Viper Recordings, and from 2011 to 2013 were signed to Shogun Audio. They have released a number of EPs, and have received radio and live PA support from DJs such as Matrix & Futurebound. Signing exclusively to Viper Recordings in 2014, in the following months the duo released a number of promo singles for a debut album. Their resulting single, "Pale Blue Dot" ranked as Beatport's second top selling drum and bass track of the year. The track was also nominated for Best Track at the Drum & Bass Arena Awards, with The Prototypes also nominated for Best Producer, Best Music Video, and Best DJ.

The Manufactured Superstars are an electronic dance music DJ/production duo from Denver, Colorado consisting of Bradley Roulier and Shawn Sabo.

Drumsound & Bassline Smith are a British electronic music production group, consisting of Andy Wright and Ben Wiggett along with Simon 'Bassline' Smith. They met at one of Derby's club nights in the summer of 1998. Their record label is Technique Recordings, which celebrated its twentieth anniversary in 2019.
