Fred Giannelli

Fred Giannelli (born 1960 in Lowell, Massachusetts) is an American electronic musician. [1] He began experimenting with electronics [2] in the 1970s as Turning Shrines. [3] [4] In 1984, Giannelli met Psychic TV's Genesis P. Orridge [5] while the group was in Boston for a gig. [6] This led to Giannelli eventually travelling to London to join the band in 1988, arriving just in time for the acid house craze. [7] He then left Psychic TV [8] for the Plus 8 label, working with Detroit DJ and producer Richie Hawtin as Spawn. Continuing under the Plus 8 label, he formed the Telepathic label [9] for his own industrial/techno recordings as the Acid Didj, Giannelli, Deneuve and Mazdaratti. [1] The 1990s saw him release a number of records, including 1997's Unpopular Science under the alias of the Kooky Scientist. [10]

Past projects and aliases include the Kooky Scientist, Acid Didj, [11] The Kinky Scientist, Deneuve, The Kranky Scientist, [12] Mazdaratti, PTV, Sickmob, [13] Splerge, Fred vom Jupiter, Fred vs. Fred, Fred Ex, Spawn (with Richie Hawtin and Daniel Bell) [14] and Turning Shrines.

Richard "Richie" Hawtin is a British-Canadian electronic musician and DJ. A three-time DJ Awards winner, he became involved with Detroit techno's second wave in the early 1990s, and has been a leading exponent of minimal techno since the mid-1990s. He became known for his recordings under the Plastikman and F.U.S.E. aliases. Under the latter, he released his debut album Dimension Intrusion (1993) as part of Warp's Artificial Intelligence series.

Psychic TV British-American multimedia collective

Psychic TV were an English experimental video art and music group, formed by performance artist Genesis P-Orridge and Scottish musician Alex Fergusson in 1981 after the break-up of Throbbing Gristle.

Pete Namlook was an ambient and electronic-music producer and composer. In 1992, he founded the German record label FAX +49-69/450464, which he oversaw. Inspired by the music of Eberhard Weber, Miles Davis, Antonio Carlos Jobim, Chopin, Wendy Carlos, Tangerine Dream and Pink Floyd, and most important Klaus Schulze; He composed and produced his albums while many in collaboration with others.

Justin James Warnock, commonly known by his stage name Justin James, is a Canadian electronic musician, DJ, educator and label owner. He has become an influential part of Windsor, Ontario and Detroit, Michigan’s Techno scenes. He is best known for his work with Richie Hawtin’s "Minus" records and Dubfire’s "Sci+Tec" record label, as well for his DJing techno sets making use of laptop computers and digital mixing equipment. In May 2014, James founded his own record label, refused.
