Fred G. Heyman was an American football player and coach. He served as the head football coach at Bethany College in Bethany, West Virginia in 1916. [1] Heyman played college football at Washington & Jefferson College. [2]
Beta Theta Pi (ΒΘΠ), commonly known as Beta, is a North American social fraternity that was founded in 1839 at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. One of North America's oldest fraternities, as of August 2023 it consists of 142 active chapters and colonies in the United States and Canada. More than 219,000 members have been initiated worldwide and there are currently around 8,500 undergraduate members. Beta Theta Pi is the oldest of the three fraternities that formed the Miami Triad, along with Phi Delta Theta and Sigma Chi.

Theta Nu Epsilon is a sophomore class society. Founded at Wesleyan University in 1870 as a chapter of Skull and Bones, the society expanded into a new national organization. It accepts members regardless of their fraternity status.
The Zeta Phi Society (ΖΦ) was a fraternal organization founded in 1870 at the University of Missouri. The Alpha chapter of the society became a chapter of Beta Theta Pi in 1890. The Missouri unit is the oldest fraternity in continuous existence at the university and the second fraternity founded west of the Mississippi River. Its second chapter, Sigma chapter joined Phi Gamma Delta in 1886. Zeta Phi Society's other two units disbanded.
Carl Rudolph Frederick "Swede" Anderson IV was an American college football coach at Western Kentucky University and Howard Payne University. Anderson graduated from Centre College in Danville, Kentucky in 1924, where he played in the backfield with legendary alumnus Bo McMillin. Anderson then followed McMillin to Centenary College of Louisiana and Geneva College. Anderson then served one year as the head football coach at Western Kentucky, before moving to Kansas State as its freshman team coach in 1930. Anderson returned to Western Kentucky as its head coach from 1934 to 1937. He was the backfield coach under McMillin at Indiana from 1938 to 1945. He then returned to his alma mater, Centre College, where he coached the Praying Colonels until 1950. The following season, Anderson became the seventh head football coach at the Howard Payne University in Brownwood, Texas and held that position from 1951 to 1952. His coaching record at Howard Payne was 7–10. Anderson died in 1978 of a heart attack, in Oceanside, California.
The expansion of Greek letter organizations into Canada was an important stage of the North American fraternity movement, beginning in 1879 with the establishment of a chapter of Zeta Psi at the University of Toronto. In 1883, the same fraternity established a chapter at McGill University. Other early foundations were Kappa Alpha Society at Toronto in 1892 and at McGill in 1899, and Alpha Delta Phi at Toronto in 1893 and at McGill in 1897. The first sorority, Kappa Alpha Theta, was established in Toronto in 1887. In 1902, the first international chapter of Phi Delta Theta was established at McGill University as the Quebec Alpha.

Andrew Henry Sommerville was a 19th-century Major League Baseball pitcher, physician and college football and baseball coach. As a pitcher he appeared in one game for the 1894 Brooklyn Grooms, giving up six runs in one-third of an inning while walking five batters. He served as the head football coach of Tulane University from 1900 to 1901 and the head baseball coach in 1902.

Wilfred Arnold was an American football coach and Illinois General Assembly member. He served as the head football coach at Knox College in Galesburg, Illinois for one season, in 1897, compiling a record of 4–4. He attended Harvard Law School from 1895 to 1896 before serving as a member of the Illinois General Assembly from 1903 to 1905.
