Fred Jordan (born January 3,1974) is an American attorney and Republican politician in the U.S. state of Oklahoma. He was a member of the Oklahoma House of Representatives,who served as one of two majority leaders,which assist the Speaker of the Oklahoma House of Representatives.
Jordan attended Dewey High School in Dewey,Oklahoma. He is an Eagle Scout and continues to play an active role in the Boy Scouts.
In 1996,Jordan received a Bachelor of Science degree from Oklahoma State University where he was also a member of FarmHouse Fraternity. He joined the Marine Corps after earning his Juris Doctor from Iowa University in 1999. As a Captain in the Marine Corps,Jordan served for four years before returning to his roots in Oklahoma.
Jordan and his wife Kara live in the Tulsa district where Jordan is a businessman.
Jordan was first elected to represent the 69th District of Oklahoma in November 2006. He was appointed to serve the House as Majority Leader by 2013 Speaker of the House T.W. Shannon. [1]
Jordan had been given a prominent role in working on the 2013 workers' compensation reform legislation,a massive document that will transition Oklahoma's workers' comp system to an administrative system. [2]
Dewey Follett Bartlett Sr. was an American politician who served as the 19th governor of Oklahoma from 1967 to 1971,following his fellow Republican,Henry Bellmon. In 1966,he became the first Roman Catholic elected governor of Oklahoma,defeating the Democratic nominee,Preston J. Moore of Oklahoma City. He was defeated for reelection in 1970 by Tulsa attorney David Hall in the closest election in state history. He was elected to the United States Senate in 1972 and served one term. In 1978,he was diagnosed with lung cancer and did not run for reelection that year. He died of complications of lung cancer two months after retiring from the Senate in 1979.

In 1997 he bought his first McDonald's franchise and in 1999 he earned his MBA degree from the University of Arkansas,Little Rock. After moving to Oklahoma in 1999,Hern expanded his McDonald's franchises,eventually owning 18 franchises in the Tulsa metropolitan area. In 2018,he ran his first campaign for office and was elected to the United States House of Representatives.
